I'm the M Corp Girly, and I am made more uncomfortable by the feminist comments than the supposed sexist ones. I don't mind being adored, celebrated or even called on the sometimes negative traits that are distinctly female in me. I suppose it all depends how comfortable you are about yourself man or woman. I'm making no excuses or defence for who I am, I'm just me I play eve so what if thats different :D:D:D:D
'Now if that doesn't prove I'm a bird I don't know what does lol'

What other corps have a decent amount of girls in their ranks?
Tbh, it does take a certain type of girl to survive corp chat and Teamspeak, luckily for us we got 3 of them :)
but you forgot Acks
No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown.

You've gotta remember too that most women won't post their picks because they don't want to be harassed about their looks, whether they're good or bad. It's also why they tend to play male characters, so that people aren't constantly hitting on them for a change.

I don't know about "most", but some I know do play male characters for that reason. Most female players I know are from UO, I know just a few in Eve. Most of the ones in UO were hard core roleplayers - not because I think most women that play are - but since that is what I did, that's the kind of people I knew.
Imagine how boring it is for an adult woman to "listen" to 13-19 year old children trying to hit on them night after night, boy after boy. Yeps, it must be pretty bad. There are a lot of women playing MMORPG's. A lot. But the "oo u a girl IRL! omgwtf! what is it like?! would you like this 10k isk? will u b my friend?" makes them hide. I don't blame them.
Oh, and I always make clear in threads like this: I am a somewhat happily married, 33 year old male IRL. No children but one cat. Too bad I mistook Eve for a roleplaying game during character creation and did what I always do - flipped a coin. I have really regretted that since last few months as the IRL virgin dudes have brought their phobias more and more into the community. Somehow it seems too complicated for them to understand that not everything in life is about sex at the point one can have as much as one wants, and playing a role different from yours - even that of opposite sex - is not necessarily a sexual statement of any kind. Oops, got into ranting - better stop now.
There are much more women playing Eve than we know of. Statistics don't lie.
P.S: Yes, I could always start a new character. Deleting 17 million skillpoints is a very tough decision, though. I don't think I can bring myself to it. Adding injury to insult, my alt with 8M skillpoints came out as a female as well. Instead of deleting them, I keep having this illusion that someday the community will slowly start to change for the better and people would be more interested in having fun than stroking their own underdeveloped id.

Are you sure there are girls in this game...
Pretty much every chick i have met in this game has later turned out to be a guy. I suggest some throughout investigation before asuming anything...
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.
