So not so much on TS as TV/TS?
;-)
Lol , when I say lets all hop a TS it means something different to my corp mates.
Anyways Omber and Josh, need to take one of you up the offer so will evemail you I guess
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

My question is: Why do men choose to be female characters? - A secret desire?
Also to the Roma Kia Lady: Please do not mention body parts on the forum... half of us have been attached to the computer so long it may damage us to think of things outside of the game

A girl I know in RL who plays games online tells me that she always pretends to be a guy when she's online to avoid people who react to her being a girl with, "WOW! A girl who plays this?? Here, let me help you with this. Oh, you don't hafta do that, I'll do it for you. Here, have some free stuff."

hehe....some funny replies in here for sure. well besides myself we have one other female who plays regularly. as for women playing male characters...doesnt suit me at all....when i first started playing i used one of my husbands alts and it was to weird. yes my husband and i both play but we are not in the same corp, and he also threatened to delete my character over a conversation i had with a friend of mine who also plays.
but if a female wants to play a guy that is certainly her option and right to do so....it does cut down on the im-not-gonna-pod-you cuz your a female attitude, or here-let-me-help-you-with-that so you dont break a nail. personally i play the game because i like it and have fun blowing stuff up. but in r/l im somewhat of an odity anyways, but does it really matter who is on the other end of the keyboard....so long as you are having fun playing the game
saddest day in EVE by far is when my sec rating went positive........*sobs* |

We had Hekate in our team. First evening (fighting Celestial Apocalypse) was too much for her little heart i think - she quitted EVE . But she has a nice spotlight scene in the Celestial Apocalypse video: warping out in a Scorpion on fire!

I've actually been given ISK as pick-up-attempts... XD
Originally by: Vhaln Zur I suggest not investigating, but rather, realizing that it doesn't matter. Btw, since when does which monopoly piece someone picks make them a drag queen? It's always seemed wierd to me that some people actually worry about what gender other players are...

Read Karol Kei's post.
Then re-read it.
Then ask yourself the question: is your sexuality and/or self-image dictated by the avatar of the computer game you play?
(Oh, and as someone pointed out, would those that select male avatars to avoid being alterningly dolled and insulted for their gender be guilty of the same thing, or is that just "cool, so you'r a girl? Wow." when you hear them on TS for the first time?)
And there I stop, I feel a wave of amateur pshychologising coming up on me, and that's usually significative of me needing a smokebreakÖ.

for myself i always found the number of men with female characters a little strange, im going to go out on a limb here and , dare i say stereotype, but there are too many young men in this day and age spending too much time in dark rooms with pc's dreaming about erotic lara croft adventures, archon i mean u, and they create these chars in there own fantasy image, im not saying all male players in this game are like this, just 99.9% (for those of you lacking a comedy gland feel free to flame me, when u get time of course, lara can be so demnding of your dream time )
as for the topic we have had 2 females in our corp 1 left to go back to daoc and i dont know if the other is still playing
I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |
