If it were not for several more important and productive things keeping me out of the game, the player-base would likely accomplish it. The atmosphere is fine for a while as it adds a bit of challenge to things. After a while, it just gets old and I find myself wishing they'd be replaced by NPCs. Same predictability but at least the immersion wouldn't be broken by "Moar tears" and other examples of brain-dead communication. As it is now, it's like scooting through space with a fleet of special needs students.

Technically speaking, if neither of you wants to lie about it due to epic forum morality issues... ...you can always start just about any number of trial accounts to pad your numbers. They're technically accounts, after all. And you'd technically not be continuing to play/pay them. That's what I'd do if I had a morality issue preventing me from puffing up my numerical appearance in a thread in which I planned to violate the forum rules on my exodus. So there's always that.
