Maybe stupid question, but at this moment as i am newbie , this game is something awesome to me..... But , how do you feel yourself after playing this game for very long time like one year and more? Is it what to discover and what to play, is it still interesting?
Thank you for answers.

It's a fantastic game. Progression is slow enough that you open up new things at a constant rate. You pretty much always have something new that you can fly or do. There is plenty of danger for those who seek it, and plenty of other ways to play the game as well.
I love wormholes and exploration, personally. I've lived in 0.0 in an alliance setting. I can run level 4 missions. I've done some manufacturing and trading. I experienced all of that in my first year of play.

Dont see this chaning tbh. Perhaps some more breaks to come, but i¦ll finally leave when the servers shut down i guess.

short answer - yes
Long answer - yes because i can look back over my eve time and see every time i decided to change the way i did things. From mission runner to npc 0.0 back to mission running then out to 0.0 again and finally coming back to try out lowsec piracy ive always had the choice available to do something different once i didnt want to do what i was doing anymore. There are places i have never been to, corps ive never met a member of and ships ive never flown. Eve has more raw potential and more ways to achieve that potential than any other game ive ever played.
Props to CCP for not only making the world but continuing to maintain it and trying to give us even more things to aspire to.

Amazing game, amazing ideas and potential for future growth, very excited to see where things go, CCP are being different to a lot of companies out there and for me it works.
I cant think of any other game where you can play for such a long time and still log on and do new and different things, whatever mood your in.
Also fits in well with my lifestyle, I cant be playing 24*7 and grinding constantly for "uber" gear.
I'll hopefully be playing for many years to come.

It's a love and hate relationship.
I don't think I could find the same enthusiasm for any other mmo game, as other games seem to be too simple and unrefined.

Started in somewhere in 2007 i think and loving it. I have not done everything this game offers so far and will be playing this many years to come. I have taken some breaks for a couple of weeks. But i have never cancelled my account so i skills keep going. To be honest, its a good idea to take a break from playing one game all the time. Hence i am looking forward to dust. Two screens, mining on one and dust on another. wooo

Been playing for about 2 and a half years (I think, too lazy to open up EVE and check my character info.) Taken a couple breaks in that time, but still enjoy the hell out of it.
PVE is boring as hell, PVP has something new almost every time I go out. - NEVER PVP SOBER. |

I feel like I only just started yesterday. This game is fantastic and extremely deep.
For the first time since Ultima Online over a decade ago, I finally feel like I'm playing inside a virtual world. I can't burn out in this game like other linear games like World of Warcraft. I've always got something to do and there is always something in the world taking place (possibly close to me like recent news).
An MMO where your subscription pays for new content, evolving gameplay and universe and a community that is rarely untarnished in other games. Yes, please.

EvE was my entry into the world of MMOs and I do not regret it. I always discover new stuff and I still think this is a longtale story for me.

The "thrill" is gone, but I still derive a lot of enjoyment from playing.
Have spent a lot of time recently training my Invention/Production alt to do T2 invention and manufacturing, and getting faction standing up high enough to get a high-sec POS. Still weighing the cost/benefits though.
Missions become tedious, and once you've got an Isk stash you yearn for more challenges, and start to poke your nose into low/null sec via exploration.
I'm gearing up to have my main and alts do some serious WH ventures using an Orca as a logistics base.
As a solo player I do run into "sandbox block" periodically, but always seem to come up with something that catches my fancy and I then direct all my resources in that direction.
In some ways you develop an attachment to your characters and enjoy seeing them succeed, as they continue to grow within your psyche. As an author does with a character in a book, you give them greater depth and "flesh" them out with strengths and weaknesses.
It is a science fiction novel that never ends, and you are in that novel.

I love it and I hate it.
I really admire the people behind it and think it's a wonderful way to get payed: let others waste their time on a game-> (internet spaceship pixels) and fill your pockets with money from those who play it. Just brilliant.
I love it because after 2 years I know I only scratched the surface. Which means I've been a carebear for 2 years, though on occasion I found myself on the wrong side of empire. Am since short in contact with (oh my) pirates. Had my first few roaming parties (40-150 man fleets, you never know what that is until you've experienced it ) through low sec and 0.0, got blown up, lost my pod and another shocker: I loved it!
And yet there is so much still to learn and to discover.
I hate it because I want to be logged in 23 hours a day, but RL prevents me from that.

Fantastic game th\at becomes better and better the more effort and interaction you put in. Quite boring if you play it solo/pve.
Sometimes you need a break from it but there's none better so you'll come back.

2003 player here and it still amazes me. Alot of that is down to the players as much as the devs. CCP gives the players the tools to do things and the players keep coming up with great ways to use those tools often with consequences the devs never saw coming (the vid of fanfest where they discuss how they saw titans as 3 in game never used superweapons only for players to build hundreds of the things and DD capitals is a prime example of this). This is eves great strength and i thing things like the CSM will mean that strength will continue into the future. The only frustrations i get with the game are when the technology isn't quite there for what the devs and the players want.
Even when you have played one facet of eve to death there are so many others to try out with more being added all the time. By the time you have tried them all they have changed/expanded/developed the first so you can go back and try it again.

I have been playing for a while but im currently on a break. Although a break from eve just means i read the forums more and play the game less rather than abandon it completely.
The game is ace and its the only one that keeps me coming back after other games have come and gone.
My sum up of the game itself: very social, ace in groups small and large not so great solo (same with most mmo tbh) pvp awesome, scary, thrilling, exciting! pve still needs alot of work (looking at you ccp!) and remains a dry experience
I fully intend on rejoining the fold properly in a month or two. ============================ 2003 and still alive! |

Its constantly changing. I'm playing for more than 2 years now - every 6 months they put some aspect of it on its head, and its so much fun to watch it being developed, and whined about, and tested, and whined again, and ranted "eve is dying" again, and then play it after its implemented, and watch it getting fixed, and play it more - and before you know theres another update coming!
They just dont do that with other MMOs, for good reasons. EVE is awesome.

i have 6 accounts, and every day i learn something new in eve. great game, great concept, plenty to do...

You are aware that if you play longer than 6 months you'll never FULLY quit.
EVE never lets go, why do you think CCP talks about world domination so much? They're creating slaves that can handle futuristic weapons and such. The 'Fendahlian Collective' strikes again |

I'm coming up to my 4-year anniversary in this game and when I log in it still fills me with awe and wonder. The graphics and music provide a great ambiance and setting to this massively social clockwork device that we all participate in.
I've found the trick for me is to keep my fingers in a bunch of pies at once. I've seen lots of friends focus on one aspect of Eve, only to burn out and leave once it got stale. Keep in mind that there are lots of ways to engage with this game, and one isn't necessarily better than another in my opinion. Building a T2 battleship from scratch can be as satisfying as finally conquering that tough complex as winning a PvP battle outnumbered. ... Stealth Bomber changes: a SERIOUS LEGAL ISSUE |

Its been 5 years and I want to play as much as I did when I started. Totally different game ofcourse but its evolving in a good way. I guess the only reason Ive been playing for so long is because this characer is 2 years old

Been playing for 6 years
Great thing is, eve isn't stagnant, every year brings new changes.
I've had a few breaks, that's a natural part of the MMO cycle though.
I still log in and think how cool the gfx are, can't wait until new planets...the new stars look pretty nifty too.
Granted, it's not the perfect game, but it has so much depth and variation it's quite phenomenal.

^^This
However, I do sometimes long to get the same feeling as when I started the game a bit more than a year and a half ago. Back then to me possibilities were endless, I still remember how it felt when I got my first Battleship, thinking they were the all powerful ships, and I couldn't imagine how powerful I would be if I had a CARRIER in my possesion.
Now today I realize how clumsy battleships are and how amazingly fragile they are in the wrong hands and not knowing how to pilot them. Also the fact that they couldn't be used for everything. I remember fitting Torps on my Mission Runner Megathron because I saw the sheer damage they do. I then warped to a belt in Teo and shot a frigate rat and did like 2 damage to it, that was one of the game breakers. Then getting my ass handed to me by a Vexor pilot who agreed to Spar with me (Such a nice guy, he didn't destroy my ship)
Then you see the game and realize the politics of it all. I remember going into 0.0 for the first time (Mostly Harmless Space at the Time) and thinking about how lawless 0.0 was, thinking that I was just going to encounter roaming gangs of pirates who might chase me, then I had the unfortunate run-in w/ a 0.0 bubble camp and was dead and in a station in my pod before I knew it. It shattered my illusion of an Outer space Version of the Wild Wild West
Despite all of this though, you still learn ways to make the game fun. Instead of my dream world of again, a "Wild Wild West in Space" you can now make comparisons to the real world, with the politics and mechanics. Then you realize in EVE, it's alot funner than in real life because your very much so in a better position to affect the way the game develops than trying to change something in the real world.
I will be playing EVE till the day the servers shut down, I shall then become depressed for many months afterwards
