Edited by: goazer on 23/10/2009 12:15:58 Ok, I could fly the Legion with lvl4 subsystem skills in about 5 days. But, why I should train it? PVE? PVP? Scanning? Station spinning?
I did quite extensive EFT playing last night and the L3 mission smasher would be pretty much the only usefull of them. Because it lacks the 25m^3 drone space/bw from other offence subsystems (that should be in all of the subsystems from all races). It loses to Harbinger, and it loses even worse to Drake in running L3 missions (HV drake + TP is superior, range and volley dmg).
L4 missions you can forget straight away due low DPS compared to pimped marauder.
Ratting? Well I kinda like the idea of having interdiction nullifer and covops subsystems, but then what? I have over 500 million isk ship and a assault frigate would do nearly the same DPS..
Of course I could drop the covops offensive subsystem away, that will help.
PVP, well armor buffer tanked has long lasting tank, but still, losing a T3 ship and then training the skill back up... Uhm, thanks but no, I have better priorities in my skill plan than training same skill back up all the time.
So, should I just put that around five days into my current skill plan and forget the whole T3 cruiser since there isn't a good use of it for me?

If you want a PVE monster, fly a Tengu. If you want a nimble gang booster, fly a Loki. If you want a covops probey ganker, fly a Proteus. If you...
No, that about covers it.

I thought the consensus was that it's a great ship for CL3 wormhole soloing? Throw on an emergent locus analyzer a probe launcher and go blow some crap up?
If you are trying to use the covops that's never going to work. The liquid crystal offensive sub is way to important for DPS.

Edited by: Marko Riva on 23/10/2009 13:25:01 Unprobable armor gang link booster. Drop off at a SS, hit ECCM, gang links and switch back to your main/take a nap. If the fleet is running passive armor or RR switch out 2 armor links for something more useful.
It's the only Legion fit which has a clear and useful advantage over other comparable ships.

The Loki and Tengu can be fit to run Level 4's and be probe proof.. The Legion I think can be made that way with some Halo implants...
This is winsauce in low sec and 0.0 mission running...

That's it?
Hey, tell me more about the C3 wormholes, do that loot pay out well? I know that medium lasers can hit nicely even into small rats, when they are pulsing their MWD, so drones isn't that necessary.
Afaik sleepers do omnidamage, so I guess I will have good tank and crappy DPS with it...
And BTW, I don't do missiles, my skills are in lasers.

The comments on that talk about doing C3 sleepers with it a bunch. There's even some youtubes linked showing him doing them. The Tengu might do a slightly better job at the same thing but I haven't seen any info on that really. You just said you don't do missiles though so for C3 sleepers the Legion is probably your best bet.
I haven't used the setup myself but I've seen it used to great effect. It is a lot faster than a drake and still tanks C3's fine.

The legion can pull a good 600 dps tank and still have room for 400ish dps at closerange (closer to 300 with scorch) this is enough, but ideally youll want more. its certainly possible to urn a class 3 solo, and each anom provides (aprox) 50m, if you salvage and get some nanoribbons. Blane Xero > Lance is at -0.9 sec status with a 1 million bounty. LAnce is also amarrian. Thats 3 evil points |

Why should this setup be unprobable?
155 Signature Radius / 97.8 Sensor Strentgh = 1,58 Target Signal Size
So with a CovOps + Sisters Probes and all relevant Skills at LvL 5 you can probe this one down. Lowest possible is 1,5 Target Signal size. Slap in the 10% hardwiring, and you can probe targets down to 1.15 Target Signal Size.

Each sleeper site can yield more than 50mil, really depends on the site. It's a solid ship, much better than a Drake and a Tengu for this role imho.
Scorch is mandatory as well.

I would think the subsystem choices would give you some interesting flexibility in the ships to allow you to design what you want to do with it. Personally, I was eying the Tengu (because I'm Caldari) with the Covert Reconfiguration, Emergent Locus Analyzer, and Interdiction Nullifer modules... a covert cloaked exploration ship immune to warp bubbles.

that does no dps, has comparatively small tank (you lose slots with the covops and interdiction nullifier system). On the upside, it makes for an excellent hangar ornament. Blane Xero > Lance is at -0.9 sec status with a 1 million bounty. LAnce is also amarrian. Thats 3 evil points |

Buffer tank it, perfect for heavy tackle and baiting, still does decent DPS to (350ish). ------ // This is by design. When a ship jumps through a gate, it clears all aggression. // - BH ******** Pew on gate, if it gets hot, jump through and Ctrl-Q. Game mechanic endorsed by CCP. |

I clearly said that in around five days I could fly one. I never said that I purchased one. Want to buy Reading lvl 1?

what do I do with MY ship usually implies ownership, not what do I do with a legion. as in implying a potential buy
