abcde....sS÷! Big deal!
I sure hope we get an ALL things spawned logger. Not just loot but everything that is created such as ore, ice, hacking/archaeology and salvage. Looking really good so far though!

You can choose to not enable the loot logging in your fleet of thieves and scoundrels.
Seriously though, I see no reason why the FC should be granted an 'eye of god' mode or why fleet members keeping the occasional piece of loot for themselves is being cracked down on here. If I'm a scheming dishonest thief (I'm not, all my loot OBVIOUSLY goes the the Taxes hangar and I'd NEVER dream of keeping any for myself!!!) then that's an issue between me and my alliance.
Of all the nasty mean things we can freely do to each other in this game why is stealing loot such a uniquely heinous crime that CCP needs to develop tools to prevent it?

Edited by: Ranger 1 on 27/10/2009 18:38:14 Detatchable Broadcast button bar is pretty important, especially if moveable, pinnable, resizable.
If you do end up giving the FC/WC/SC the ability to see ship types in a window, also allow them the right click ability to move people around in the fleet from that same window. Drag and drop would be ideal.
Retaining the ability to re-name wings/squads is important for ease of organization, especially for fleets allowing self move.
As an FC/WC/SC the ability to right click on the broadcast (such as enemy spotted) of a scout and select "set fleet destination" would be handy.
Since this same interface will likely be used to organize formations when they are introduced, provisions should probably be made in the design to be able to quickly assign different formations to squadrons, wings, and fleet. ===== If you go to Za'Ha'Dum I will gank you. |

this is amazing, chiefly for wormhole space dwellers like our corp. this will make everyone's life a ton easier regarding loot and pickup fleets.
what about some functionality to trade BMs to fleet members? tis is a really big issue in wormhole space since everyone needs the hole BMs and its quite cumbersome and laggy to trade BMs. look on the bright side, less database lag from all those BMs in cans

Yeh, that would be nice. Another feature I'd be loving would be select which squad/wing to broadcast too, so that Target calls only shows up in the people in the combat wing, and the logistical calls in the logistical wing. It's somewhat annoying to sort through tons of targets calls when you want to rep someone. And by the way, they should really separate sigs from the main post. |

Edited by: Typhado3 on 27/10/2009 19:36:00 seconded on the call for being able to see what bonuses your getting. Would also help if you made it possible to see top down what bonuses you are getting something like in the form below. Have a tool tip to explain it, with one for each column and one for the overall thing. If you could colour code it as well in the racial colours to make it easier, and just display the % as a number of how much of a bonus your getting. Example below using first letter of each race (O = ore). Just have one of these at the top shows what bonus your getting and if you look through your fleet window each fc/wc/sc has one aswell so you can see what they are getting. if they aren't getting any minimize that section or just give it a big 0% to take up less space.
O/C/M/A/G :: O/O/O : C/C/C : M/M/M : A/A/A : G/G/G
Another addittion could be to add something so when a player joins the fleet they go to the right wing/squad. For example FC could set a wing to 'sniper BS' and a seperate squad to 'logistics' then whenever a player joins they get a menu asking 'general', 'logistics', 'sniper BS' if they hit general they just get randomly thrown into any non labbeled squad.
also for those complaining about loot logging, someone could already have gotten all this information from kill mails. From the sounds of it it just says what we got not who picked it up so you can still skim off the top, now just it's easier to work out what's missing.
What improvements are there for us logstics pilots? watch list and broadcast is still not enough. Few times in fleets I've just had to run through by name locking as many random people as I can to find damaged ones and rep up their shields (thank god for being able to lock 10 targets at once). I know having constant updating set of all fleet members HP is a lag bomb but how bout something that pulses like the new direction scanner. Still rely on broadcasts and watchlist and eyes in battle but after battle you can easily find those couple noobs who havn't broadcast that they only have 10% structure left. ------------------------------

At first I thought great feature but now I see it's useless for me as you limited standings to 0.10 or greater. Why limit the ability so you cannot search new groups you have never met before and perhaps make new friends? I was hoping to be able to search for local fleets in my area and join in PvE with people I have never met before. I was hopeing to look for level 4 mission fleets and join in.
Sure if your want to make a fleet with people you know this is great. But you're missing a large opportunity here by limiting fleet finder to people with good standings. There should be a way to broadcast a fleet for all local people who have 0.0 standings.

It would be nice to allow use of the Sec Status filter independant of the Standings filter, and/or allow the standing filter to accept nutrals. this way we could have open fleets in high sec for PVE or newbe training that would allow anyone with a positive sec status and non-negative standing to join. so long as the fleet BOS has to have at least a high enough Sec to meet thier advertisement it should limit exploitation. -We So SeXy |

*rage about not having the ship type list.
Seriously I'm liking what I'm reading about fleets, but one of the things that makes fleets challenging or just plain suck is not having an easy way (for the FC or other leadership) to gauge your own fleet composition or who's actually undocked and in space. When the idea was thrown out there at fanfest it was probably one of the most exciting potential additions. Hope it comes soon.

Surely you mean "200+ PILOT fleets"? Not all pilots - nor all players - are male. it is sad that you need to be reminded of this.

" You are registering your fleet in the Fleet Finder based on standing. You must choose the minimum standing." Big disappointment that.

We will not support completely open fleets from the get-go because of possible griefing and spamming potential but it's something that might possibly be added later.

When I FC I seem to spend a lot of my time iterating to my squad / fleet what the alignment point is and inevitably there is always someone messing it up due to language barrier, jump in lag, or plain old lack of attention / lazyness :)
What are the chances we could get a squad / fleet align command so you can right click and have all of your subordinates align on a celestial. It would cut a lot of comms chatter and allow for more dynamic flow to warp in / out fleet fights ..
Other then that .. pure awesome sauce with happy endings :) Dominion is gonna make the baby jesus cry with joy ...
