Somewhere in lowsec, an alliance called Privateers are doing what they do best. Suddenly, I hear over my comms, "He's not going to be able to get back!" A friend has gone out to meet the ace Privateer in a humble T1 minmatar cruiser. Had he known how superior his opponent's ship was, I don't know that he would have gone. But as luck would have it, his Stabber, along with his allies Hyperion and Prophecy just did over three billion isk of damage. Nice drops too...

I have a plexing setup that you can fit a XL booster on it (Personally I just use a Pith large, but a XL will fit), and being a gist, uses less cap than a faction or Pith large.

Actually, it wasn't me, but yeah. I think he should have at least been able to take out the stabber or prophecy and redock.. I think the x-large booster was the mistake. He had a little NOS on him (2 small nos lol) and I think that prevented him from repping.
/shrug It was interesting to me and thought others might find it so as well. If it's not worthy of your time, stop reading and posting. thxbai

I talked to him he lost connection thats why you killed him this easy.
Most parts of his contry had the same problem.
Look at the amount of damage you did, 11278 you wouldnt have killed him if he was online.
The tank on this ship is pretty tough, pretty easy to slowboat back to the gate or deaggro and dock.
And as you say, you only had a small nos on him.
Still a kill is a kill. But i wouldnt brag about skills if i where you.

I'm betting that he always gets a DC whenever he loses a ship right? If he was sitting outside a station without aggression and DC'd he would emergency warp. Seems to me more like a failed Logoffski when he saw the battleship.

logofski in a T3 ship (you know the consequences of losing a T3 ship dont you ?) while close to a station and being attacked by what ?
A BS with T1 weapons a stabber and a propehcy.
Cant be arsed to check on eft how hard to kill this tengu is while its being able to defend himself.
But im sure its so though, you dont even need to think about logging off.
Btw in empire, feighters and passive BS can pull of a logofski, everthing else is pretty much toast when they pull the plug.

No, I can believe that. And again, it wasn't me who got the kill, it really WAS a friend of mine. I thought the Privateer might have DC'd but my friend was reporting that he was taking fire... but fog of war and all that, who knows. You're right about a kill is a kill, but your charge about me bragging about skills is a straw man. Luckily, the thread is in text, so you can see how silly that charge is. But, if you're too lazy: It wasn't me. No bragging going on here. I was just amazed by the incident.

I was there.. he was shooting at me, then i jammed (on/of cycle) him with my ecm drones.T1 cruiser got him scrammed and webbed, 2 small nos's killed his cap and he couldnt shoot back. He was talkin in local and he tried to get his loot back afterwards. He could have taken out the t1 cruiser but alas ecm is a *****.
And the loot... my oh my :)

I don't know the tengu pilots skills but with mine its 500+ dps and 1300dps+ tank, disconn or lag I think, that setup would've been enough to slow boat and depending on the other 3 pilots skills for the ships they were in possibly take them out.
As for the 2 small nos, the effect would barely have mattered, nice kill tho, but I've always said that I'd rather be lucky than good, and that definitely applies here.

We once encountered a Privateer two jumps out in lowsec. Guy must have been crying at his computer. We pointed out the quickest route to empire space and haven't seen him since.
