This event GÇô a tribute to the glorious frigate class ships and their incredible versatility GÇô will take place September 17th to September 22nd. Frigfest is made up of two separate tournaments, one for the individual and another for the alliance. Part 1: FrigWeek GÇô Monday, September 17th to Thursday, September 20th The first tournament involves four days of frigate on frigate PVP in Amamake Solar System! Everyone is invited to bring their T1/T2/Faction frigates to the belts of Amamake. If youGÇÖre new to Eve Online and are looking to learn the basics of combat, fit up a few cheap frigates and mess around with other young pilots participating in the tournament. If youGÇÖre a veteran frigate fighter, consider this the perfect place to prove your talents. Corporations are also welcome to swarm the belts of Amamake with frigate class fleets. -You will lose ships! -I will lose ships! -Bring what you can afford to replace, replace it, and come back! -There are no rules or order, just hundreds of large frigate fights (hopefully with many different corps fighting simultaneously). -If things seem slow, come back a little later! Obviously, I am not of such low intelligence that I don't realize that pilots may bring larger and larger ships to pop themselves some faction frigs. If you really feel the need to do this, just know that you will most likely die to a swarm of frigates. Things we hope to see... -Every belt full of brawling frigates and gangs of frigates staking their claim. -Nowhere being truly safe. -Pilots working together to bring down those who bring larger ships. -Every talented PVP Corp making a showing in the event. A killboard will be developed just for FrigWeek 2012! All killmails obtained in Amamake using only frigates should be posted on that board! If you want to be considered for the FrigWeek prizes, you will post your event killmails on the event board! If you kill something larger than a frigate using only frigates, than that mail also counts. Killboard Link: TBA Killboard Password: TBA FrigWeek 2012 also has an event channel! This channel will be used during the event to arrange 1v1s, share fits and intel, share killmails, and give those participating easy access to the killboard. Those interested in the event should spread the word by inviting both friends and strangers to the channel! For the alliance tourney, fleets will be controlled meaning links won't be allowed or used. Expect more info about the rules of the event in the coming months. My first real attempt at solo PvP was throwing half a dozen failfit frigates at a Frig Fry and asking to be podded to save me the flight back to reship. Now that I'm not the newbie with an all T1 fit, I'd like to throw down with some HA guys again and hope to fair better. See you there.
