Sons of Tangra	Posted - 2009.11.12 05:24:00 - [1] Since there seems to be a low number of posts on the CSM forums vs here I thought I would post a reminder in the general channel in case people don't take the time to read the blogs. The CSM is your voice to CCP on upcoming game changes. But it will only represent your views if you actually take a few minutes and check out the candidates to ensure that they reflect your point of view or at the least show to be responsible individuals that will do research and take the position seriously. An un-educated vote or no vote do not serve any positive purpose for this game which have made a monitary, emotional and time investment in. Additionally please note that while the initial enrollment form for CSM candidates seemed to indicate that we could modify the web link for our campaign pages at a later date, I have been unable to find or perform this modification so I would suspect a lot of my fellow candidates are in the same predictement. Most candidates have posted their updated information in Jita's corner. Well, if I get a single vote, then that is one more then what I would have recived had I not even cared enough to try. It is one thing to sit on the sidelines and complain that things have changed in ways you don't agree with or to chastize others, it is a completely different thing to step up and be part of the solution. As with any election, there is a better chance than not that I will not be elected but at least I can say I tried to make a difference. Without people willing to go beyond 'playing the game' and step up to running corporations and alliances, both of which tend to involve these individials spending most of thier time docked dealing with the issues no one else wants, where woud EVE be ?

I only have one account and after learning on one character, I made a second which I have trained on ever since. I don't really have an "alt" or a "hidden" agenda. If it were up to me, there wouldn't be a requirement to travel to Iceland or to attend Fanfest. I am 8 time zones away. But since it is required, if elected I commit to showing up (I would be the frozen guy in any possible photos). Not that any of this matters now since most (all?) forum goers that intend to vote either have voted already or have a candidate in mind. _____________ JD for CSM4

This is probably the easiest way to find the CSM that fits you. The down side is that easy does not mean best. The questions and rating system needs tweaking but, in time it should be a really good resource. If you do want to vote but do not want to spend more then a few minutes thinking about it do the survey. If you wanted to take a bit more time you could check out the info on each of the say top 4 matched candidates. That should let you find a good candidate for your vote. Ashina for CSM

The comments on lack of trust in the candidates is concerning. All I can say on my behalf is that if I did not intend to commit the time to this I would not have signed up. My history in game and the fact that I ran alliances for periods of years speaks volumes to how I commit myself to something I hope. A vote for me is a guarentee that you will have someone on the csm who takes the opportunity very seriously. Darth Sith
