Who do the GMs work for, their own epeen or the players?

Tista	Posted - 2009.11.12 18:10:00 - [1] Ok, so.. if you read my thread on the hidden agro timer you will find out why I'm slightly **ed off. Now.. in loosing the ship.. I petitioned the problem.. now is it me or do the GMs ignore ALL logical evidence in the hope that they may one day grow their Epeens or achieve some greater enlightenment in the world by saying no when the evidence is slapping them in the face saying "THIS PERSON IS RIGHT." So, back onto the issue, I would like to know what the purpose of the GM is, prehaps a CCP member could inform me, or maybe even a GM themselves, as they are not all bad.. just the grumpy s who do the petitions. I had evidence.. actual reason, pure hardcore.. undeniable evidence that I should have my ship reimbursed.. yet the GM in question just seemed to refuse and refuse AND REFUSE to reimburse the ship.. on the basis that, after a 28 minute window of being docked.. concord can still shoot you. Not only can Concord shoot you, but it's ALL explained on eve-wiki. So.. does anyone else see the flaw in this logic? I.. play this game.. I don't play eve-wiki online.. I play eve online, and to get CRUTIAL information about current events in eve online.. I must go out of the game, go on a website that is altered by unreliable sources to find out something that should already be 100% inculded in the game I'm playing. Hmm.. flawed logic there correct? Not only this but the GM CONTINUED to try to prove me wrong, YOU are not employed to prove me wrong, you are employed to judge a situation within the game universe and make a well supported decision upon your actions prior to the statistical information. I'm 20 years old, and when someone says to me "our logs can't prove nor unprove that there was no timer on your screen, but the logs suggest that you still had a GCC" I feel a little bit ing insulted. I PAY your wages... If you get any from being a GM.. The crappy timer sucks but you are making quite a fool of yourself over the loss of a Sleipnir. CCP please fix this obviously crappy bug. Protip: If you get in this situation, don't undock in a Sleipnir, try a highly agile and cheap ship like a vigil (with a prepared insta). If no poppenfrig, go get Sleipnir. EDIT: Also, RTFM. Was youe evidence consisting of EVE server side logs if not your evidence doesn't mean squat for reimbursement, try putting that evidence in a bug report if you feel its broken, if they trusted ever piece of 3rd party evidence imagine the photoshoppers out there, end of the day the only logs CCP can rightly go on are their own and if a GM says feature its a feture until otherwise declared a bug. Had the smae thing happen to me and a few inustrials in lowsec. I was stealing an PvPing (yes, in an indy), and docked up. Thought my timer was up as it wasn't onscreen. Globally, it was up, but the station could still shoot at me. After a few attempts, and a petition, I learned I was in the wrong. So I learned about timers, and now it hasn't happened again. Here's some Kleenex for your tears. Get over yourself.

So anyway, I worked my way in skills up to a BS, and took it mining in a 0.0. A pirate podded me and I had no insurance on my ship. I petitioned and showed proof that this guy podded me. They said to go and read the wiki. That is no fair! WAAAAAAAAAAA Sort of a true story! Seriously though, no one cares. Get over it. Crying in the forums will only get you mocked and laughed at. If you had the same attitude when you petitioned, I would have denied you too. I'll bet you get a lot of spit in your food when you eat out.

What happened is within the game mechanics, and resulted DIRECTLY from you not reading the manual about the Criminal Countdown mechanics, and the fact that docking adds to it, which has been known in EvE for literally YEARS. The GMs will tell you so - so you're here emoraging. Rants ar not allowed on the Forums, neither is discussing GM or moderator actions. You are earning yourself a tempban, if not a permaban, with your lack of control, not to mention lack of maturity. I strongly suggest you calm down before you continue posting this stuff - as EvE is famous for having consequences for your actions - as well as NOT being able to hide behind Internet anonyminity - that's why your forum posts are tagged with the names of the characters that you use to make 'em. You're gonna get laughed at in-game as "that nub who lost a Sleipnir and emoraged". Just a word to the wise - let it drop before you sink yourself further.

Sigh, before making comments.. look up the details of the problem.. life is about facts.. and assumption is the mother of all *ups. Just for you, I will explain in detail the situation. I undocked at 09:40:00 In a hurricane In Jita. I engaged a player (non corp) In Jita at 09:41:00. The hurricane then exploded at 09:41:00 as a result of concord intervention. I then redocked at 09:42:00. I bought a sleipnir. I Armed the sleipnir. I restarted my game to setup the graphics to view the ship in high detail at 09:52:00. I then went to do some thing around the house. I logged back in at 10:05:00 -Note there was no agro timer, no GC timer, no indication that i was flagged. I fiddled around with things then undocked from the same station In the sleipnir at 10:09:00 The Sleipnir was then taken out by concord at 10:09:00. There was an entire 28 minute window between the inicial agro timer and the 2nd ship being popped by concord with no active timer showing on screen. That, combined with the fact that this game runs on real time would lead someone to believe that he/she would undock without a problem. * If I log off my skills remain to train whether I'm playing the game or not, The agro timer is therefore assumed to work in the same manor, combined with the fact that the timer was not showing leads me to believe I'm in the right in requesting; A. A change in the system to better all of the players in eve. B. A reimbursment of my ship.
