Well ... it depends ... on what they are better at ...
You see ... you can take Eggo Waffles out of this box and stick them in a toaster. In a minute or so they pop out, you flip them over, toast them again and when they come out the next time ... you eat them.
That is from a Frozen Waffle.
With Pancakes ... they don't come in a box ... you have to make them ...
Hence - real men eat waffles cause they are less trouble to make and take you away from EVE for a shorter amount of time.
Real Men eat whatever is easiest to cook ... cause no matter how much better it tastes - it ain't worth cookin' ...
Which doesn't mean you eat things that taste bad if uncooked. It means you just don't eat those things.

What are you people on? Do most of you just eat premade ****? This is how it goes: Pancakes have a higher base rating... they are more commonly soft fluffy and delicious. A good ole mom&pop American restaurant will easily give you the quality you need...BUT... they have the intrinsic flaw of not being able to hold syrup well! Thats where waffles come in, they are structurally DESIGNED to hold syrup better. Egos are CRAP, but when they are done right (whether it be dreamily soft and fluffy, or a beautiful decadency of tart-crispness) they are SO full of win! Waffles make sense engineering wise, and that has to count to! But if you taint your **** with bad syrup you should go die in a fire...
When it comes down to it, though, I like em all!

homemade american pancakes with real maple syrup > all. Add some maple bacon and/or sausage and OMNOMNOMNOMNOM
British pancakes just confuse me, but dessert pancakes are fine by me when done right

Pretty much anyway really.
Waffles are ok once in a while if you go to the seaside sometimes you find a reasonable one with strawberry jam and cream, but I've never really got on with american pancakes, they look just like drop-scones, I guess they're ok when they're fresh, but I'd rather have good traditional english pancakes anyday.

As any true New Englander, I have to say waffles are indeed greater than or equal to pancakes.
Waffles hold more of that delicious pure maple syrup!
