Edited by: SengH on 07/11/2004 00:46:15 fyi for all those that dont know what != means, it stats for does not equal to
Big question I started going on in help chat. When it states the volume is 1km^3 by definition that means a volume is length x width x height. Therefore 1km3 is defined by a box 1km on the edges. Given (1km = 1000m). 1000m*1000m*1000m = 1,000,000,000 m3. Ingame however it gives us only 1000m^3 for a km^3 that means were being cheated on 999,999,000m^3 of our promised space. Please help resolve this !

Well. Everything in EVE actually only exists in one dimension. Deal.

It is a bit of a nit pick, but it is a valid one. It should be noted as "1k-m^3" or at least put a space in it "1k m^3". That way we can know you mean 1 thousand cubic meters, and not 1 cubic kilometer, which is quite different.

Idiot.
They mean 1k m^3, as in 1000 m3, not as in 1 (km)^3, which would be 1,000,000,000 m3.
edit: lol, forgot to figure it for a cube :P Anyway, fact still remains, the OP is being a troll-and-a-half for insisting they're being "cheated" for something that is only a problem if you're chromosonally challenged - I can't recall anywhere in the actual game where the term "k m3" is used, everything is expressed in just m3 with heaps of zeroes on the end.

You Two-Timin 2-Dimensionalists can't straddle the line forever.
You're either with Us, or you're with the 3-Dimensionalists!

Does this ruin your game play?
All I know is if my cargo is 1,000 m3 I can carry x amount of ore. It doesn't need to be more complicated that that.
