I sat on a gate while suicide gankers were trying to find their target. They started attacking a viator and I repped the viator's armor from 0 -> 100% like 3 times. Eventually making the viator survive. They got mighty butthurt. That one has to be the funniest. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded.

I immediately got my Domi to clear the rest of the mission. So he came back with a Domi and asked me what the hell i'm doing here. I told him I got the mission from my agent and accused him of being a thief who trys to steal my npcs, because i saw him when he warped in with his helios when i warped off with my Megathron to get my Domi. I then threatened him to petition his behavior and he went offline. Made me lol IRL.

Must have right clicked to 'approach' but instead clicked on 'Board Ship' and watched haplessly as he got podded by his own ship and everyone nearly died with laughter on comms. 2) Sutty was fond of arranging mine fields around star-gates and JIP's (jump in points). One day he must have gotten a little close and managed to destroy his ship and pod himself. This was par for the course for him though haha. For my own sins I will have to have a think, I have done a lot of stupid things. /zap
SomebodyKickedMyDog	Posted - 2009.11.24 21:03:00 - [35] when i was a noob i heard there was no concord in lowsec so you could shoot people there. so i went to lowsec and shot someone, only to get insta popped. i thought the other guy just had ridiculous dps or something. it took me a while to realize it was actually sentries that killed me. also as a noob i got killed by pirates a couple times and eve mailed them, asking if they could give me money, since they killed me. one guy gave me 500k, the next guy gave me 1mil!

Shrike was on the gate in his TITAN smart bombing and DD Ravens for fun... I killed Fink, and while looting his wreck, Shrike warped the Titan to the wreck... nothing like watching the screen go solid black as a Titan warps to you at 0... he started smart bombing me, but I burned out of range with half structure. So I got the loot and poor Shrike missed his Inty kill... This was like 2 years ago or more...

Off the top of my head: - When I was a newb I was roaming around lowsec and found a Hulk in a belt. I got excited and my heart was pumping as I got the tackle and quickly burned him into armor. A few moments later my Incursus instantly popped as a bunch of gray NPC ships appeared on my screen. Turns out I was in highsec (everyone has done this at least once). - Recently I was flying with my corp in a T1 cruiser gang. We engaged an eve-university blob, ganked a ship and then tried to GTFO. All my gang-mates warped quickly as I sat there spamming warp to a random planet. My ship sat totally still and I couldn't figure out why. They blew me up and I tried to warp my pod to the planet as well. My pod and my LG slave clone were then scrambled and I finally realized why I hadn't been warping... I was spamming warp to the planet I was already at. For some silly reason they released point and let me 400mil worth of implants warp away but it was still really stupid/funny. - Goaded an Omen into engaging me on a gate with my Taranis even though I knew he had a gang on the other side. Nearly killed him before his gang could get through and kill me but in the end I went down with no kills and once again let my LG slave pod get scrambled. The gang started smacking me in local as my pod sat scrammed. I realized I was like 5km from the gate and slowboated over to it as they smacked and held my pod down. As I hit 2500m I jumped through and my pod and implants were saved. They were so busy talking **** that they let me get away. - Accidentally targeted a roid instead of my Thorax target in a belt in OMS. By the time I realized I was orbiting the wrong object I had a Thorax on top of me and I lost my brand new Arazu. - Bought a new Lachesis when I first learned to fly T2 cruisers. Fit it and went to take it out to Nalvula to probe out mission runners. As I went to jump through the one highsec system I had to pass through to get there I noticed a member of our arch-enemy corp sitting on the other side of the gate in a Buzzard. I uncloaked to warp and was scrambled in highsec and died to CONCORD. I could go on forever. I think I'll stop there. EDIT: Actually I just had to add this one last thing about when we "attacked" a Mostly Harmless Titan in Aurohunen. I don't know if I ever laughed as much in real life at a computer game as I did during that whole encounter. -----

Anyhow; I get an invite to a conversation so I accept. There are 2 'recruiters' and 2 other 'n00bs' in the channel. I was paranoid as hell about everything in the game from what I'd read and heard about but a conversation? No big deal to just listen and I figured I might learn something. The recruiters gave us a chat about joining their 'new' corporation. I inspected both of these guys and saw they'd been playing 13 days which made me wonder a bit about how they'd started a corporation and what not but I was listening. I asked a couple questions about their corp, etc. and how they'd set one up so fast and the like plus where they were out of, etc. As the conversation progressed they invited the 3 of us to come out to where they were at and join up with their corp at their offices in nullsec. We hemmed and hawed a bit so they then offered each of us 500m ISK if we'd come join to help them build up. At that point I replied: Think of yourself as a small child released into a park full of pedophiles. If they ask for anything or offer anything that requires you to meet them, don't be overly surprised at what you actually get from the encounter. Everyone laughed, including the recruiters, but none of us n00bs went to their little meeting.

In order to get more of my stuff out I fit multiple cloaks, and stuffed the lows/mids with other random mods. I didn't know that fitting more than 1 cloak made you unable to use any of them until after I initiated warp, but I was like, meh, it's only 3 jumps, should be fine. So as I'm warping to one of the jump bridges I start chatting in corp, not really paying much attention, I look back to see a bomb flying towards me, so I set that damn starbase password as fast as I could and clicked jump...but nothing happened. My ship exploded and to make things even better I got bubbled and podded at the station by a lone dictor. Make the Beership a reality!

We get word of a MUCH larger gang in 9uy and figure we will poke around and get in on the action if anything goes down. I was flying a Jaguar as scout and we had a brand new FC that was just learning the ropes. Did I mention I was hammered at the time? So I hop into system and lo and behold I see a Phobos. I let my mates know about the Phobos and my intentions to tackle it. Over vent I hear, "Chekerss I don't think you should do that." My reply to the naysayers is, "2 points on the Phobos!" Our BRAND NEW FC then says, "Yee Haw! Jump!" Long story short is we got the Phobos kill. I survived, the rest of the fleet did not. Moral of the story is don't let a hammered scout fly for a new FC. p.s. Ever since then as a nod to my Alliance mates I name my Jags, 2 Points on Phobos! for the lulz.

It was during the first Curse-Stain war and I had setup a nice little shop in deep Stain where I built Incursus' and fitting/ammo (all t1) and hunted anything really. One day I come across an Ibis slowboating it to a gate and naturally I pop it and move on to kill some haulers at another gate. A buddy of mine (JohnnyWatcher) had flow from Great Wildlands down to me in his crow to join in on the fun and as I was looting the expensive named cargo expanders and harvester drones from the haulers he checks the can from the Ibis (by mistake, thinking it was one of the haulers) and found 10K Zydrine in the can ... This was at a time where Zydrine was more expensive than Megacyte. So slowboating cargo full of zydrine in an ibis in 0.0 - that to me is the funniest thing I have experienced (or that I had my own fan club at one point with 25 members lol - I guess local smack if funny enough can be useful) . EVE in maximized windowed mode + taskbar

He pays for an obelisk to "loan" it to us, it gets "suicide ganked" and the people on the KM definitely weren't names that I just made up and were all in their starter corps for years... So several bil in stuff "goes boom" and we feel "bad" about it, so we get another friend to give us a jump freighter BPC, and we're going to give this not-a-friend the JF once it's built, we just need a freighter to build it... So he buys us another freighter. That's 2 freighters and several bil in assets ^_^ Then there was the guy who petitioned us for isk buying, because we had a whole new fleet of ships ready ~15 minutes after having been killed by concord while taking down his hulk. Another time we popped a guy in lowsec, he yelled some russian at us, so we babelfished it, it came back as "I will pump, I will moisten everywhere where the encounter." I went canflipping and popped a prophecy with a t1 fit rifter. I once left my tank off after warping to a mission, but went afk while in warp, came back a few hours later to find I had lost a geddon to 4 npc frigs.

My first visit in low-sec. i was in a tristan. i got friendly with a couple of guys and they managed to convince me to join theyr corp. So we all vent in low-sec for ratting. a pirate called murder one (i still remember the name) it haunted me. He was in a megathron. i don`t remember what ships my mates had. but i remember that the pirate killed me the last. My pod got scram as well. The pirate convo's me and says 5m. at that point i thought he need 5 minutes. so i replyed OK. after about 20-30 sec he says...10 sec to decide. and after a 2 min dialog with the pirate i understod what he ment. the pod survived because he was avoiding sec status drops. 3. We where trying to join Ushra'Khan squad in 9UY. we where in dital(high-sec) and the first jump in 0.0 was KBP. who was most of the time camped. so me and a friend of mine where taking shifts. with a clone in dital station. we where jumping in our pods in kbp. if the gate was camped the pod had been poped and return in dital. :)) That was our way of scouting. IM ashamed

Pod-killed in less than 5 seconds (was on dial-up connection still) and as the new clone kicks in I'm like "What the hell....?" Gets kill-mail, reads....jaw drops as I see that 3 alliances, around a dozen or so corps all took potshots at my hauler all at the same time! I've kept that kill-mail and reposted it a few times into corp mail, often in two parts as it was so long. In fact I'll quite happily repost it here if anyone is interested. Oh and I do find it funny how my parents (was still at home at the time) didn't comment on all my shouting, screaming and swearing!
