I'm slow. I don't get it. Does this mean my drivers are out of date? Cuz I don't think they are, I do windows update often and if it needs new drivers, it usually nabs them then. I even ran it like 2 days ago and got new drivers in that report of **** it did when it updated.
Just to check, I tried looking online for new drivers but.. no luck, everything wants me to pay for it and the programs look shady, so I don't trust them. Gateway online wasn't much help either, I installed some drivers from there and they don't seem to have installed at all and there's no real instructions on how to do it.
it does mean that the drivers are outdated. and you cant update them properly without taking off the faisafe that the manufacturer incorporated in the system registry with the laptops. once you remove those, then you can update the drivers from intels main driver web page. 20mb download and then it works just fine. just make sure to back up your registry before hand and you will be fine.

Jukebox don't load the Playlist.
SOLUTION:
1 Make sure your Jukebox icon is not regrouped under "accessories"
2 you have to left click on the jukebox icon/open playlist and manually enter the directory containing the files. (C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\res\Audio\Jukebox)
3 you have to do #2 ANY time you start the client.
Solution proposed by CCP in Known issues thread:
"Jukebox: Playlist fails to load if client is launched through a misconfigured shortcut. If the client is launched via a shortcut that has a "Start in" which does not point to the Eve install folder, the jukebox will be unable to load. Fix: This will be fixed in a future patch.
Workaround: Clear the ôStart Inö path in their Eve shortcut or have it point to the correct install path."
I've done it. Right click on the Eve shorcut/properties/start in: then clear/or add "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin"
The bug persists

Ever since the premium graphics upgrade in Trinity, all users have the problem of large, flashing white orbs appearing on asteroids when HDR+Bloom+Anti aliasing is enabled.
I didnt see this listed as a known issue on the Dominion update notes, and this is a very common issue in which many bug reports have been filed on from previous expansions.
I am just wondering if the devs are working on this issue at all?

EDIT: Turns out it was a driver issue. Dell attempts to force you to use their outdated drivers but I found a work around for installing drivers directly from intel. Problem solved.

Open regedit, find these two keys HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001, then delete the InfPath entries under them. Reboot and install drivers direct from intel
Will that work for a gateway laptop? I don't want to risk breaking the whole damn thing just to get this game to work, lol.

experiencing some sort of keyboard lag. before, i could strike f1+f2 at once to activate 2 groups of weapons. now, only one groups will turn on, have to do it separately. |

problem: Can't rightclick containers from the scanner to remove them
Can rightclick other things no problem (including secure containers) but normal containers do NOT give me a rightclick option anymore.

Successfully log in :) 1. Upgrading all drivers including Direct X to the newest verions. 2. Dont change graphic setting in the Esc pannel. if you did already, rename your "EVE" folder to another name, like "Stupid Game" and then restart eve.exe again. Then, you will see EULA again.Click accept. Remeber not to change the settings. 3. Done, log in your chara.

I have no audio effects, Aura voice, nor music in the Mac client on a recent Mac mini with OS X 10.5.8. No music on the splash screen nor in the game. The Jukebox is blank. -- He said "The President is near."

I didn't think that work for me but since the guy that tried to help me quoted me, I thought it was worth a try. I already did a bug report. I could try known issues but the game worked fine before, the patch is was broke it. I was trying drivers as a kind of last resort since a few peeps with black screens of death seemed to get it going again following that inspiron thing. This is too much of a pain in the ass. I shouldn't need to have graduated MIT to get my game that worked fine before to work now.

As of now, this has solved the problem. I am now logged in and sitting in station. Put it from fullscreen to windowed and it works fine so far. Anyone who has an Inspiron 1525, I suggest that they try this method.
Don't know about Macs. I'd suggest to try it to see if it does or not.
Bumping the path and link to what to do for anyone else with a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop.
The same file path and names may not be the same for your specific brand of computer, but the solution could be along the same lines. Trial and error is a suggested means of doing it, but google may help as well.

My system crashed during the update. After restarting, I cant start eve client (Im getting error message). I cannot install this update again, because it claims my client is already updated. Thats a stupid solution, why such a thing exist ? I suppose I know better if my client is updated or not, but with this auto detect function Im not able to install it again and fix previously corrupted installation. Better thing would be a window that say that update is already installed, do you want to install it anyway yes/no.
I used repair.exe (took me a while to actually find that stuff, couldnt find any info on the devblog where I can get it from), it was downloading more that 2gb data overnight, I checked this in the morning and I still got the same problem with the client, so it seems that repair tool does not do what it was supposed to. In other hand, even if it does, a fresh installer is like 2,4gb, so its hard to see any benefits from using repair exe.

Mobile Intel 965 Chipset graphics users- Fixed issue on my toshiba laptop by uninstalling current (toshiba modified OLD) driver and downloading most recent intel driver direct from Intel and installing. When you uninstall old driver tell it to delete the files, then you can just run the Intel .exe installer. Reboots a couple times and then EVE loads.

Fix for Jukebox not displaying: turn your sound on in Eve. Not joking, this DOES fix it.
MAJOR bug: standings are no longer being calculated for reprocess at stations. Have a base 1.77 and a skills-modified 2.76 for a certain corp. The reprocess window is reporting that I have 0.0 standings with them even though I don't. -----

That would explain why you can buy a clone with any corporation you want to, regardless of standings. This kind of sucks.

I tried exactly this with my Compaq 6510b which uses the Intel 965 Mobile Chipset for graphics. It worked like a charm. A few things to note:
1) Make sure to find the latest graphics driver from your graphics card manufacturer (Not your computer manufacturer) before you make registry changes (you can figure out your graphics card model in your Device Manager).
2) Make sure you get the location of the registry changes correct. The paths in this section of your registry are named with long strings and are very similar to one another. You don't want to delete something from the wrong one.
3) It is never a bad idea when making registry changes to backup your registry before making any changes. Google how to do this, it is simple and will save you a lot of headache and heartburn.
Now all of that being said. I downloaded the new driver before making any registry changes (took a minute or so), made the changes, restarted, installed the new driver and started up Eve. No more blue screen. The whole fix took less than 10 minutes. So I am feeling good! Fly safe!

And boom, there is your songs!
Works, tested it 10 times by logging in and out.

problem: GPU runs at 80% to 100% when docked no matter what settings i try. Even with the eve client minimized the GPU is still running at 80% to 100% I even cleard cashe hopping that would help. In space the gpu runs at 4% to 68%. % are from ati CCC

Does anyone know a solution to a problem i've been having?
I tried to install the patch last night but it failed and then i couldn't run EVE. So i uninstalled and tried to reinstall the client but all that happens it it goes through the installation process but fails at the end with the below message.
archive extraction failed: CANCELLED
Does anyone know how to correct this?
