OMG this is so baaaaaad! My client endlessly FREEZES and UNFREEEZES!! Please make it stop!! Eve is totally unplayable now.
If that wasn't bad enough. Remote market changes do NOT work. I am a trader!!!!! I cannot begin do describe just how terrible this is. Worst update ever. Epic fail!

It seems that a lot of people are having this problem. I haven't been able to login since the deployment. Been trying all day, including driver upgrades, and reinstall of the client (several times). Hopefully they'll have a fix for this soon - I just reactivated my account!
Join the club. I have tried everything today. I gave up as I realized it had NOTHING to do with my computer, but the program graphics engine messing up something. I used Eve on that computer for 2+ years with no problems and went through all the other patches fine. And miraculously it now is fubbered - nothing changed on my computer, so let's figure it out :).
If you've not done so, please run the logserver and file a bug report with the file attached and a description of your machine. Its def. a widespread problem, the more reports they get in, the faster they can fix it. to get a log file, start the logserver ap from the eve folder, go to file, open new workspace, then try to start the client, youll see the log server fill up, save that file and attach it to the bug report. bug report button is at the left under 'eve insider', last option. - a fellow no client pilot

After 8 tries and 5 hours I'm stumped. Can anyone help? (and yes I've tried on different machines). I tried the direct download, the patch download, the torrent downloader nada. All corrupt.
I used to have this problem with big updates on my laptop. It seems to have been an issue with permissions for the user account. I had/have the user on my laptop with special security permissions in order to debug isapi dlls. Undoing those fixed the problem for me. One possible work around is to download the big installer, not the patch and install from scratch. That always worked in the past for me.
I believe the settings that caused that to happen for me before was having "Act as Parf of the Operating System", "Generate Security Audits", "Log on as a Service" enabled for my user account. Those are under local security settings. I didn't have the issue this time around though. I found that it was because the EVE installer was attempting to write to some folders in c:\documents and settings\all users, windows didn't like the fact that the account had those particular permissions and was trying to write to the all users profile, so it would block some of the installation, and I would get a message that the installer was corrupt.

Ok this dominion is starting to suck big time. What do I do so I can get into the game? All I get is a picture of the dominion crap and then a black screen. My cursor is there, but nothing else. I tried downloading the full build but it says it's there and won't allow me to put it in anywhere. I am running windows vista. I was able to play on Eve before. A friend dl'd it fine.

Another laptop Inspiron 1525 error sufferrer here, I did find something akin to a "workaround" but it's very unreliable.
When using Vista, if I delete the EVE cache folder located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility Then attempt to launch EVE, then EVE will actually launch!
However, this is only temporary. I run EVE at minimum settings, and if I ever try to fix anything and restart the client (and recreating the Cache file) then EVE once again refuses to load properly. So maybe this error is somehow related to the cache?

Edited by: Barakkus on 02/12/2009 03:38:25 The "hiccups" people are experiencing, where things become unresponsive is due to the user interface changes. Something is wrong with the code for the new user interface that is causing cards that should handle stuff with absolutely no problem, to all of a sudden have problems when doing various things.
I invited my alt to fleet and the client froze for a second when the window appeared. Whenever I warp, just when the warp message appears the client freezes. When people enter local the client freezes. I do think it's a problem with the new UI.
I get 50fps just flying around and blowing stuff up, but any type of interface windows popping up warping around etc will cause a hiccup. Even scrolling the browser window while I'm looking at the forums causes the hiccups.

-Jukebox isn't functioning at all.
-The fitting window isn't displaying exact numbers of CPU and Powergrid usage.
-New planet graphics aren't showing. All I'm seeing are solid color spheres of various colors. Pretty much the same as before the patch.
-New sound effect on high sec gates is way too loud and annoying.
-Fleet finder isn't finding fleets of any kind anywhere.
-Ingame browser is cool, yet slow and lacks functionality. Many webpages just don't work.
-Ingame voice chat has become spotty at best. __________

If that doesn't work, this may be a long shot, but try restarting your router, or downloading the patch from an entirely different network/internet connection.

Well my problem is that I start the log server, launch eve, splash screen, log is running, black screen, and 5 seconds later Blue Screen. And then when I unplug the battery to reboot, there is no log saved. But I did put in a bug report. At least some people are only getting the black screen instead of the blue screen ;). 1. please stop yelling 2. copy your eve folder (windows: C:\Program Files\CCP) to a different location (external hard drive if possible) and then point the patch to that location and try that.

Market orders and assets going mad.
Some items can be slod fine but others are playing up, I try to sell some and get "Market authorites were unable to process your order. Please try again." I try again but get the same only on some items, so far 1mn microwarpdrive.
Also I have 15 in assets but the system says sorry you can't sell that many as you only have 5. I know i have 15 as i have bought them and see them in my trans logs. plus you try and sell less than 5 and get Market authorites were unable to process your order. Please try again..

I'm slow. I don't get it. Does this mean my drivers are out of date? Cuz I don't think they are, I do windows update often and if it needs new drivers, it usually nabs them then. I even ran it like 2 days ago and got new drivers in that report of **** it did when it updated.
Just to check, I tried looking online for new drivers but.. no luck, everything wants me to pay for it and the programs look shady, so I don't trust them. Gateway online wasn't much help either, I installed some drivers from there and they don't seem to have installed at all and there's no real instructions on how to do it.
