Space being brighter (*much*) than the dark side of a planet doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I am not referring to the occasional bright nebula on the background but those backgrounds that are evenly brighter than 0/0/0.
Take for example the background in Amarr. No single pixel is as dark as the dark side of Oris.

*feels Sad for everyone not able to play dominion*
i had problem downloading patch heres what i did.
(1) clear loads of junk you dont use from your harddrives(i cleared 20gb)
(2) (make sure you download drivers for your motherboard/audio card/graphics card ect from the manufactures of the device & check to see if the download for those are the correct models.
(3) do a microsoft update.
(4) do full download of eve and select a directory where you have enough space on that hard drive for both the temp files from download & space for installation.
(5) go asleep while you wait foi it to install or goto the movies or something.
(6) get loads of coffee snacks tobacco ect
(7) play dominion :-)
only glitch ive found is probng now taking me 30 mins for 1 signal where before it was 7mins max
Hope all those having problems get to see the wondefull work that ccp has done to this update. Welldone CCP! :-) |

Almost nice Patch:
1. Still can see the SUN if its behind some object like station or planet, ugly.
2. Jukebox is not user-friendly UI and working not properly aswell: if im tabing to windows and load some new music to "jukebox" folder, the client need to be restarted after it becose its not reload new songs or playlist.
so far nothing more, but nice work CCP anyways...

While the interface seems to be considerably more responsive than in Apocrypha, I noticed the client takes much longer to boot up (stays on splash screen a lot longer) then when entering the game it spends a lot longer than before loading the interface and in-station textures.

I can uninstall driver fine, but how do I install the Intel driver set that is current as the stupid program won't let me. I have a Dell Vostro 1400 that of course when I run the setup says I do not have the right system. The registry entry is for the Inspiron, but anyone know the registry entry for the Vostro so it actually lets me install the current driver? Still annoyed as Eve worked fine before the patch which I had the most current drivers already.

i am having my graphics settings in eve reset every time i log out. i have cleared cashe several times to no avail at all. each time i log in my ingame graphics are all set to basic, i set up graphics settings log out and back in. guess what graphics settings all back to low.
any ideas when this going to be fixed ?

The 'Subscription renewal warning' seems to only warn on accounts of the ETC Type.
A canceled direct debit account with 3 days left does not get the warning.

erm, here we go, PC client:
*fitting window displays a white rectangle and slows the FPS to a crawl; basically unusable;
*looks normally and good fps while in station; outside it freezes every few seconds; while not frozen, works normally, normal fps, but then freezes again;
*freezes for a few seconds everytime i go into warp, get out of warp etc; mining works well, but i dont' have the guts to try missions;
*jukebox playlist empty, no way to edit it;
*the rest is fine, love the mail and browser especially.
*turning down graphics seems to alleviate the freezing problem a bit, but, i repeat, it's freezing not drop in fps; hope that helps.

One issue that I've come across is that passwords don't seem to be properly stored for private channels anymore. Half the time it asks me for the channel password when I log into the game and half the time it connects properly without asking me.

Patches default to setting your display to Present Interval One, which is effectively v-sync, locking your FPS to your refresh rate. If you feel the need to generate more heat in your graphics cards and generate frames you can't actually see, you can change it to Present Interval Immediate.

When I open the fitting tab I get a fairly large white (blank) box that covers the lower part of the fitting tab and then left of that (which covers everything left - even when I move the tab to the right. |

This is usually caused by EVE closing abnormally (for whatever reason), but leaving the cider/wine wrapper running. I get this same error and the stand alone patch is not working either. I have never had any problems with any of the other patches.

Try the following?
- Esc menu in eve
- Display and Graphics tab
- Tick Advanced Settings
- Under "present interval", choose "Interval One"
This should cap your frame rate to monitor refresh and hopefully stop the graphics card going nuts in station.
Thats just it pre Dominion that worked fine. Now it seams as if the client ignores changing that setting. I find it truble some too that even when i miniumize the cliant window to the task bar the gpu load does not change.

Please look into the fps issue. i Had 120+ fps with 2 clients running in window mode before dominion , now i got 20-30 fps like that, + sometiems it get to 2-10 fps :S Changing drivers didnt help , clearing cache didnt help .

i figured out that the corp tax thing is doing this:
A = initial amount/bounty
B = tax (ie. 10% = 0.10)
my wallet shows:
+A
-(AB)
and then my corp wallet shows
+(2(AB))
-(AB)
my corp is still making w/e (AB) is but it seems that it multiplies by 2 like that and then takes away (AB) of it again to even it out

I can confirm the EVE Voice Problems. Same as stated multiple times above on Windows 7 x64.
Also confirming the extreme loading times on login, plus the EVE JukeBox resetting the selected playlist everytime EVE is closed. I don't get the point why you can even select a playlist when this info is not saved.

Jukebox will completely turn off when a song finishes, won't start backup until you manually select the next song (NOTE: This is for the default EVE Music). Also, not sure if this is intended or not, but the music playing on the login screen plays through once, then cuts off completely, giving you dead silence after the first playthrough of it. Don't remember Apoc or any other version not looping login screen music.

We are experiencing the same issue in our corp.
Also, when installing jobs, there is a method that hangs the client. Only tested this setup so far:
-Installing both build and research jobs at a POS
-After entering a quantity and pressing enter (before getting to quote screen) client hangs
-Problem goes away if "OK" is CLICKED
Not really a game-breaker, but kind of a pain. Also, pretty sure this has been reported, but I was too lazy to find the quote.

iv been trying to get into eve but im not being allowed the serve status is unknown but i know people are on it. iv tried reinstaling nd im onreinstall #4 right now, and when i tried the repair function it faild sying that i can not connect to sever

Problem: I down loaded (and then redownloaded eve as well) the dominion patch, everything went smoothly, no disconnects mid download or anything. But when I tried to open eve up, the little box with the picture from the current expansion popped up for a few seconds then dissappeared, and then the screen went black. this is all normal, except the login window normally appears after a few seconds of the screen goin black. In this case, the screen stayed black( i could still see the mouse and music could be heard if that makes a difference)(also, all i needed to do was bring up the task manager and close the window and everything else worked fine except eve of course)
anyone else have this problem? Anyone able to give any suggestions as to how to fix this? Im really glad I picked a 12 day skill now Oh well, guess theres nothing to do but wait. Got 10 days left on skill, hope it resolves its self by then:)
