All anomyles were working perfect yesterday, from DT till DT they were despawning and respawning instantly.
Then i log on today straight after downtime and clear 1 sansha haven, and it is still there now (19:40) eve time.

Edited by: Keridos on 13/12/2009 20:26:27 Our anomalies perfectly worked today. Usually respawned not more than 10 minutes after they were cleared.

Man, you guys are hilarious. Expecting Patches and Fixes to occur within 2-3 days. They have to sift through thousands upon thousands of lines of code to look for a misplaced variable, something misspelled or even just something not capitalized or missing -one- little character.
Then you have all of the other errors/bugs that have been popping up, gives you pretty huge "to do" list. "Someone's going to get the axe!"
Then you have to make sure that you aren't breaking anything else... Although I do agree that they should have had extended testing time to make sure the vital parts of the update work I don't agree on the childish "CCP never fixes anything" bashing.
Good job on smiting the bug "with extreme prejudice."

The anoms were fine in initial release of Dominion AFAIK, but broke during the hotfix of 1.01.
Now....
When can we expect a fix to this issue?

Tomorrow.
Dominion 1.0.3 goes live and the notes say the anom bug is getting squished.

If bugs of that sort exist it reflects very poorly on their coding standards. Variable names should not be similar enough for a slip of the finger to confuse them.
Now I actually slightly agree with your post but your examples are poor. They are more likely looking for a swap up in the <,>,>=,<= set or == vs = or comma/period swap in lists of immediates (especially if some programmers use ',' as the decimal separator out of code). And that is a significantly easier search than if they have poor coding practices were they are looping through a list of anomalies where the current anomaly is named "anom" and the collection is named "anoms" as you seem to suggest is likely the case.

Tried to generalize for the masses on the many possibilities that could go wrong, but you have the right idea and a much better explanation. Sorry if I implied "poor coding standards", i wasn't trying to lol. I mentioned 'character' because it can basically be anything.
Thanks for your two cents and better examples :D *hi 5*

CCP's Response to my petition: Hello,
After talking with the developers it is intended for hidden belts not to refill/respawn after a downtime. These locates are counted like explorations sites and can persist over downtime. In order to have new hidden belts spawn you will need to mine all the ore. Once this is done a new one will be spawned with more ore.

Unfortunately, that's going to be edited out... However, it does sound like a massive (however, typical for CCP) cluster**** of miscommunication and inaccurate dev blogs.
Hey, CCP, can I write dev blogs for you now? I mean, I'm not involved in the programming or game design, but I'm sure if I can write some **** and ramble for about six or seven paragraphs, it'll be as accurate as the recent dev blogs.

It's look like a bug disguised in a feature. They are not able to make the upgraded belts repop every dt whereas exploration belts repop every 3 days.
