You guys are an absolute joke.
Yes you give us a all a 'free' upgrade. However, you fail to do adequate testing to this upgrade so that we all now end up paying for this in unscheduled DT.

wrong wrong and wrong
DT started at 9.30, and hour and a half later than it was planned. This downtime is until 1pm, that means CCP have 30mins spare than the original time they stated.

Edited by: Aenemah on 08/12/2009 12:08:05 You OP Sir, are the absolute joke. I bet you haven't logged in Singularity since the beginning of Dominion testing, or if you did that was only to test your new Navy paintjobs. So please let the guys in charge alone, get a life, and for this supplemental hour of non-online-gaming try to get away from your desk spamming the login.
Oh, and please get away from the forum too. Enough of kiddy whinners around. _ Veni, Vidi, Warpi. I came, I saw, I warped the hell out... |

EVE Online: Dominion 1.0.2 will be deployed this Tuesday, December 08, 2009. The deployment process will begin at 09:30 GMT/UTC and is expected to be completed at 12:00 GMT/UTC. The patch will address some of the reported issues with Dominion and patch notes are available for review.
DT started at the stated 930 and was extended at 1201 to 1300, so im afraid that its you who is wrong.
@Mrs Retina : sorry, its already all accounted for.

Matters not?
I also feel a little cheated with my subscription money. Yes the upgrades are "free" but they're not really are they?
At the end of the day its the thousands of people paying for the game which in turn pays EVERYONE over at CPP. So we are in fact paying for them.
A new patch, great! But you guys were testing it on the test server sometime before actual deployment so why deploy something which doesnt work?
i think the actual people who pay for the game are maybe 12 hours down this month on gameplay time because of downtime after downtime and lagfests and emergency downtimes.
It is getting beyong a joke for paying customers.

Sometimes things don't go as planned. There are a lot of things that you can test on a beta/test server, but it becomes a totally different animal when it arrives onto a live server. That is just a basic understanding. If everything was suppose to be prefect when we got it, we wouldn't have service packs for windows or updates to our favorite software.

Edited by: LordSwift on 08/12/2009 12:16:04 Edited by: LordSwift on 08/12/2009 12:14:10 Please for god sake read the patch notes. They are introducing another Sov structure as per their plan for the dominion changes and the 0/0 stasis period. plus other fixes. Plus you have no idea how testing software actually works. You can only do so much in testing a patch or expansion before it goes live. You will always get new bugs that rear their ugly heads when 30k players are using it.
Either way well done to ccp on the quick turnaround we are having with fixes. /beer
edit:- oh also, the actual fixes to known bugs can usually spawn more bugs from the fix. Just the way it goes really
@HearNoMore :- beat me to it. thanks

Then go play wow. But be warned, you'll be paying the same sub fee + about 120 dollars worth of expansions to reach your friends. Enjoy the free expansions.

There is no outside, there is eve and periodes of eating/sleeping called DT.. Its a rar service that CCP offers to its players and I fully endorse this.
I enjoy longer DTs because its that rar opportunity to eat, sleep and get a bath!

I find it interesting that very few posters in here have actually managed to read my OP and realise what I mean.
This is not a gripe about so much DT. Its a moan about me (and everyone else) having to pay for something which has been advertised everywhere as 'free'. The amount of unscheduled DT due to this upgrade is now starting to get to a level where everyone should be recompensed.
....and no, i know we wont be, but it certainly doesnt mean im not allowed to voice my opinion on the matter.
