Actually, in your fury and rage, you may have missed the announcement about DUST 514 - you know that console game thing CCP is working on? Unless I miss my guess, they are planning to sell that, not give it away for free, which would also increase revenue and make them more money.
Please, feel free to leave. No one wants your stuff.
Gee wiz, and how many eve players will jump ship when star trek on line comes out?

Not nearly as many that will abandon that fail cascade in process once it goes live.

First I did not bother reading it all. But what I read was plainly idiotic..
Anyway. Answer me this:
1. How old is EVE online? 2. What other onlinegames are of that age? 3. What of those games are still growing in number of paying accounts after all that kind of time? 4. Something happen on sunday last week at EVE online. What was it?
Thxbye

This game is designed for a specific type of player. You have those that will play it and find they don't fit -- too complex for them, too cruel, too mellow, wrong genre, annoyances at game controls, UI, etc... Some mutter about various aspects of the game while others do like you are doing and leave because they are unwilling to tolerate some aspect of the game.
So you don't enjoy the game the way it's laid out and played. Welcome to that large group of ex-EVE players but that doesn't negate the pay-to-play enjoyment that many others experience in this game world -- no more so than the rants about WoW negate it's successful draw of a type of customer that enjoys that style of play.
Take care and hopefully you may find a "right fit" type of game some time in your future but I'd suggest not throwing hissy-fits when you leave a game. It's just bad form.

True.
But unfortunately that's not the type who are attracted to it. What we get are asshats, griefers and whiners, among other assorted detritus of the game playing world.
Sad really as the EVE concept had so much potential.

I'm not going to jump on the flaming bandwagon, but I would like to state the opinion that, as a carebear, I've found EVE reasonably accommodates players like me and players not-so-like me fairly well without abandoning CCP's vision of their game. I started my first character late in '04, and played him on and off until April '08, then biomassed him because I thought I was leaving the game permanently for RL concerns. Here I am, despite the alleged difficulties of dealing with unsavory people -- and yes, there are plenty that are drawn to EVE's freedom of action -- having started all over again, and I'm still enjoying the game. EVE is wonderful because it allows players to enjoy the game for wildly different reasons, and while the incentives to be naughty are certainly there, EVE does not force anyone to choose one playstyle over another. EVE does not put players into a straitjacket of classes and levels, then tell them what their objectives are; EVE allows players to choose their own victory conditions, as it were.

OP, don't lie You clearly have your instant gratification. Here, on forums. If I was CCP, I would charge you extra for excellent service.
To others - for quite a while already I started to wonder, why it is so that you don't see people ranting "Wah wah why I can't kick ball with feet in basketball, I will quit". Yet in online games we have ridiculous people like op popping every day. Is this because games are still a young phenomena ?

Your post comes across as one that has happened due to a number of things:
1). You have lost a ship or many ships to someone
2). the person that did it said
Quote: "Oh, I destroyed all you worked for "Because I can, or "Because ccp lets me get away with it"
3). You have either tried or have whinged about the above & got no satisfaction so here you are.
Yes a lot of people are leaving EVE & there will probably be even more once the NEW Sov system is seen as being whatever, The same is happening on ALL MMO's as thats the way it is.
Getting on here & doing what your doing though is not going to help you to achieve anything because us low IQ people aren't going to help you right after you have just stated how great you are above everyone else & how the game should be changed to suit your style of gameplay because that would also stop others from leaving.
Have you done any research as to why people are leaving? How did you manage to do it without having all the email addresses of those that have stopped playing? Have you even tried to compare the amount of player turnover for EVE against the same on any other MMO?
Your statements in your post are very wide covering & you seem to be speaking for a lot of people even though there is a very good chance you have not spoken to many if any.
I am not sure what your hoping to achieve from your post but I some how don't think it is going to be what you were hoping for.....
Good luck with WOW or whatever MMO your going to play

op - eve is for elitist snobs, unlike wow which is for 10 year olds.
There will be NO instant gratification,
on the topic of awards, the only reason wow has so many is because all of the people who are on the panel and review the games couldnt handle the free trial of eve.
as for all the other stuff, that you whined about. i have been playing for 3.5 years yes mining is boring, but good money and an absolute necessity in eve.
Eh I dont know where im going with this.
