As to the defenders vs. Torps with the wolf...
Generally if something if firing torps at you, it will be more than a single launcher can handle. Best defense with the wolf vs a ship firing torps at you is to warp out as fast as you can.
280s work nice against a cruiser, though 250mm or 200mm would work better vs frigs as well as freeing up some space.
Also dropping the MWD is a good idea, though depends on the person and the situation. Standard speed is around 400-500m/s and with a MWD you go around 1000m/s. The Wolf has better uses for the power for its tanking and weapons.
Best thing is to not fly alone, (especially with a 35mil frig) bring a tackler with you in a vigil or a stilleto, and let yourself focus on tanking and killing your opponent.

First, I'll point out that its now a 25 mil isk frigate (avaliable from multiple vendors), and the Jaguar is a few mil cheaper (if you want a jaguar send me an eve-mail)
My mission running wolf is setup like this 4x 150 mm tech II 1x small nos
1x 10MN AB 1x shield booster II
2x Gyro II 1x PDU 1x CPU (I think)
use the AB to get in range (usually just boost once after warping in) and then orbit at 1km. With the NOS running the shield booster can run almost continually. Though the enemy inties give it problems ast they web you and keep you outside your weapon range, so an alternate config is needed for those missions (250's or 280's).
Its alot of fun to use.

Like somebody said before, with this ship you have to think way outside the box. I'm not going to tell you my exact setup but I will tell you this:
These ships are not inty's and they are not regular frigates, they are not intended to lock down bigger ships. Get rid of the webbers/scramblers as you're only weakning yourselves. Most friggies are dead in 1-3 volleys and don't have time to warp out. Cruisers dont think they can be killed by a frig and wont realise it before it's too late.
These ships are not meant to fly alone - bring a friend in an inty to do the lockdown, you just focus on the killing.
2005.04.25 16:40:42 combat Your 1400mm Howitzer Artillery II perfectly strikes LawrenceNewton [WARAG], wrecking for 2706.9 damage.

This is probably the most unwise way to do things but I fit my Wolf according to the description that comes with it
"Boundless Creation's ships are based on the Brutor tribe's philosophy of warfare: simply fit as much firepower onto your ship as possible. Defense systems and electronics arrays will therefore necessarily take a back seat to sheer annihilative potential"
But Vegeta is right, this ship is not meant to fly about by itself, you will find youself in a pool of tears (or worse, on the forums) if you try to take everything on by yourself.

Edited by: Gariuys on 20/11/2004 16:29:07 I use, 4x 280mm, 1x standard launcher with lights. small shield booster and kinetic amplifier in the meds, PDS, Co-pro, tracking enhancer, and gyro in the lows.
End up with a shippie that can take quite a bit of beating, and dishes out 600 damage volleys every 7 seconds or so. At very nice ranges.
Edit: oh and since you're running a 25mil frig, running all tech2, should be natural. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

I Run:
4 280mm T2s 1 Standard Missile Launcher (Haven't had time to get myself an Arbalest)
2 Cap Recharger T2s
Small T2 Rep Energised Reactive & Magnetic 1s (waiting for skill for T2s) Micro Aux Powercore
With some skills you should be able to run the rep forever deals out pretty nasty damage too Should be able to tackle anything not running an oversized AB.

Interesting to keep in mind, a t2 1mn mwd gives you a 476% speed increase making you do 1793m/s( with max skills and a velocity implant) and a 500% sig radius increase, which means the you're not that easier to hit with it running.
Jaguar is even better, since it's weight is less. Think it's the only assault ship that's not easier to hit with a mwd running. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Come on people's lets throw some more ideas around Im having a hell of a time setting up my Wolf. Anyone got any setups that work nicely in PvE? lvl 3 missions and whatnot. I'm about to test a shield tanking setup...it will probably suck
