Edited by: necrosia demora on 18/12/2009 03:31:30 what im suggesting is the implementation of an emergency warp feature which when you activate it you have a 5% chance of entering warp instantly regardless off any sort of jamming. now i can hear the flames already but wait there is a down side.
doing this would cause severe strain on any ship and its systems and in all likelyhood it will fail resulting in instant overload of these systems and the destruction of your ship.
this imo will only slightly tip the ballance when it comes to gate camps. you stay u die or win. you win and u leave or you emergency warp and either die or escape
now not only would this make that step into low sec that little less daunting but it would also benifit both campers and people not interested in pvp at that time. for pvpers they have a chance at a kill and loot without a fight and for the warp'ie he has a chance to skip a fight but risks loosing his ship in the process.
i also recoment 2 skills for this
the first is available to all rookies and the second is a more advanced one requiring high engineering and mechanics skills. both should provide a 5% chance of succes of entering emergency warp resulting in a maximum 50% chance of succes.

no. just no. eve is a dangerous place. Does the person camping the gate not deserve the kill if he is good enough to tackle your ship? stay in empire please. Get a scout. use warp core stabs. get a cloak.

It's good idea, but proposed implementation is a bit too uber. What this one should do is to try to warp you 1 AU +/- some random distance in the direction your ship is facing with reasonable cooldown. There would need also be ofc some limit on it to avoid new ultradeep SS spots. Let's say that you can't go futher away than 128 or 256 (if you want to cover all the systems in EVE) AU from the parent star (that should cover all but the biggest systems). Longest warp I have seen was approx 180 AU between gates I think ?

i made no mention of warp distance. this feature only puts u into warp. warp is restricted by ship and cap. therfore in a fight u might have no cap so if u dont blow u are still in scan range and if u do blow the gate camp still wins. this is in no way an "i win... get out of jail free card"

good poind but warp core stabs are crap you can have max amount of them on and they can still lock you down it is just to easy to tackle a ship even ones that are "made" to be able to escape... yay for heavy inducers >.>
