you people only realised this now?
eve is how old?
get real people, ccp have no more power than you do at international price fluxuations
they do change their prices depending on economy, but they are as slow about doing this as they are as slow at updating.fixing their game or meeting real deadlined, so your not going to get this issue resolved
your lucky they work so close to their customer base even if they are slow at everything they do, most other games are much worse so im told __________________________________________________

well, ccp should choose which currency they should use as a "standard" payement. that way converting money to another currency would be fair for all sides... instead of ex. us citizens pays 14$ and euro citizens pays 14Ç...

when you pay by CC you don't actually get to choose which currency, it seems to default depending on where you live.

Since when CCP is in Europe?
It does business in Europe, and must charge it's European customers VAT. That's the law.
The problem is NOT the VAT, it is the two different currencies they wish to charge! They should pick one, either euro or dollar, because by having both then one group (euro) pay more than the dollar people becuase of the EXCHANGE RATE.

Well CCP IS in Iceland and though I know we're at the fringe of Western Europe there's no need to push us out completely .
Just wanted to make sure that you get this right CCP is IN Iceland which last I knew IS in Europe....at least politically, but geographically...shifting...
I'm pretty sure he's was referring to the EU and not geography or political alliance.

Well, for some glorious reason, my CC defaults to Dollars, and its an english ú account ( a bog standard one)
Infact, it actually pays out in pounds, but at a very good exchange rate; about 1.9$/1.0ú
Dont ask me why, i dont know...

And taxes are not the cause, please try to understand the concept of percentages. 10% tax or whatever they are stealing from us, does not equal a 60% bigger cost. its called (relative) value of currency dear, which in turn largely sets the exchange rate.

Agreed it stinks:
14 USD/month = 10.79 Euros
14 Euros/month = 18.15 USD
So our American players play 10.79 euros/m and EU players play 14 euros/m. For want of a better term it's called being 'ripped off' and it's not an EU tax issue either. It's a CCP pricing policy/tactic which is rife across Europe. If I am correct, the EU trade commission is drafting directives to stamp this insidious practice out. With Iceland not being an EU member this might be a grey area but I don't think it would make CCP immune EU scrutiny. If the Europeans were getting a superior product to the Americans then higher price might be argued, but a 23% hike in price, which is much higher than the 17.5% vat the EU charges, is difficult to support. As it stands CCP, you seem to be treading a dubious line here.
I pay every six months
71.70 euros/6months = 93 USD 71.70 USD/6months = 55 euros
It's not just a 'little bit' different it's a 'significant' amount. (23% more!)
Why am I paying 16 euros more? Even at 17.5% EU tax 55 euros would only add another 9.6 euros to my bill making it 64.63 euros. It stinks.
I say make the Americans pay more or bring the euro price in line with the US dollar, 'One euro 'not equal' to One dollar'.

VAT rate isnt 17.5% across Europe ya know, and the EU don't specify which VAT rate you have to use if your product is sold online across multiple countries.
And for all I know they may not have the option of charging in dollars in EU countries.
And if they do charge VAT at a certain rate, they don't actually get to keep it you know, its a TAX, and last time I noticed that went back to the government.
