Many people have asked me what the secret to my success is... well tonight is a perfect example to guide you to the true understanding of the eve savant.
First, I log in to find a whine mail from someone asking for their ISK back, surely I have made a mistake... 
Confident and full of both whine and wine I then go roaming around the North thwarting blockades and chatting crap with my various 'associates'. Spotting a pair of dramiels engaging a crusader, I engage, hoping to assist the poor croissant from the overpowered frigate duo of death... and promptly get pwnt. No worries, insure and head out again since I'm currently garrisoned nearby for swift infiltrative tactics.
To my bewilderment and subsequent amusement, a swift 20m skill point implant upgrade is twisted by blood alcohol levels into a 20m ISK clone upgrade, thus ensuring 96 million of my current 17m skill points will be safely retained  Considering my techniques and pro level of combat, this is obviously not likely to last out to 96m sp 
Nevertheless, determined I head out again... this time to lose only a second Incursus, but to retain my more valuable escape capsule, this time living up to its name.
A further conversation with one of the Dramiel pilots nets both a respectful diatribe on null sec incursion theories, but also 6 (might have been 9) gleaming Vexor hulls.
What is the lesson to be learned here?

Don't get me wrong, I like hulk ganking, but at one point yesterday the only threads on the front page that weren't about hulk ganking were the stickies at the top. Its a bit much as other things do happen in eve you know..
