Rule of Five
Executive Summary
The Rule of Five corporation, and associated gaming clan, is the premier online organization for working adults. Our members are expected to be mature, independent, reasonable, friendly and helpful. The mission is to provide an environment that facilitates active participation, team work, and goal achievement.
We operate on five core principles that help us deliver a positive gaming experience for the mature player.
1. Maturity 2. Working Adults 3. Camaraderie 4. Tolerance 5. Leadership
Our in game focus is on PvE and PvP combat. We are not accepting industry only characters at the moment. Our focus is on mission running, wormholes, low sec and asymmetrical pvp roaming. Recruitment is done in game in the JUNTA communications channel.
The following is a more detailed explanation of our corporation and culture.
----------------
EvE History
The organization began in April, 2008 in Caldari space under a different corporation name. We decided in March, 2009 to re-brand our image after splitting into a 0.0 division and an empire division. The leadership of the organization began playing EVE in 2003 and founded the corporation to get back to some simple core principles in gaming. The initial inspiration was to build a gaming clan that would cater to working adults lead by working adults, in order to attract the type of members that are willing to be loyal to a group for the long term and through multiple games.
Our group has been successful and have built and populated a 0.0 PvP Corp called The 5th Freedom. We still have many active empire pilots and look forward to many more years of creating a home for mature adult players. Our focus on mature adult players is why we codified the five principles of the organization.
The Five Principles
Rule 1: Maturity: We are a gaming group dedicated to mature players. We advertise to the working adults and family oriented gamers. As a rule we don't have time or the inclination to deal with anyone who; spouts nonsense, is a drama magnet, is self-serving or engages in rampant juvenile stupidity. We do specify a minimum age of 21 to enter the corporation but exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
Rule 2: Working Adults. We encourage and want our members to take care of: their job, their home, their children, their spouses/relationships and when extra time is available have some fun online. We are very understanding and very tolerant of our members real lives and will make any reasonable accommodation to help people handle their priorities.
Rule 3: Camaraderie. We ask our members to support and participate in team based, organizational activities. Mandatory events are very rare but online games are meant to be played as a team. Our members agree to use ventrilo, use our forums and play with our group exclusively. Our goal is to build a long lasting community.
Rule 4: Tolerance. Our organization is accepting of anyone who accepts our principles and values and wants to make a long-term commitment. We see gaming as an escape from the hassles of the real world and do not allow real-world politics, divisions and issues to diminish our enjoyment.
Rule 5: Open Leadership. Authority comes with responsibility and we are open in our decision process. Long term decisions are discussed openly, membership is apprised of organizational finances, and opportunities to get involved are available to all.

EVE Mission
Rule of Five is focused on two groups of players.
- The new player looking for an organization that can assist them as they learn and develop who wants to train into a 0.0 organization.
- The older player looking for a good organization with a commitment to working adults, who does not necessarily desire 0.0 play but who doesn't mind PvE and PvP aspects of the game.
Rule of Five is focused on training players in combat by helping them learn to make money using PvE elements: mission running, belt ratting, exploration, complexes, low-sec and worm-hole space. We even help our members understand trading, R&D and how to make isk in other ways. We do this in order to facilitate asymmetrical PvP operations.
EVE PvP
Our organization enjoys the occasional opportunity to PvP in low sec, wormholes or in 0.0 roams. We normally use inexpensive fast ships to take on targets. Live action PvP training is a given and will prepare those pilots who want to move on to 0.0 for the action, while providing some fun and excitement to our empire residents.

I joined Rule of Five almost a year ago, and I'm damn glad I did. These are a great group of people, and I've benefitted a great deal from their support, instruction, and friendship. Between my work, studies, and family, I don't log a lot of time in EVE, but Rule of Five has been there for me when I do. I'm sure you'll find this true of most our members.

Hey guys,
I've been playing EVE off and on since about 2005 but once my old corporation broke up I really lost interest. I'm playing again right now and flying solo just isn't any fun. You guys look like a pretty good Corp and I like how you have everything set up. The fact that you realize people have lives outside of the game is paramount to why I want to apply. As a Military college student I don't have to much free time but enough that I think I could play. Anyways I know you have a age limit and I'm the young ripe age of 20, shy of 21 by a few months, so I hope this could be one of those case by casers.. Anyways.. Thanks for you time. I hope I'll be able to join up here. Thanks.

hi, Im a newish (but mature) amar pilot with 3.5 m SP, into covert opps / exploration / mission running. Im currently flying Tec 2 Covert Opps / Electronic Attack Frigs - Tec 1 Harbi, arbitrator & Sigil.
I liked your write up, especially the mature / relaxed / fun bits (some corps come over way too intense, and playing eve is meant to be a little fun))
My immediate training is to up my drones & core "standard" for the t2 c.opps and EAF frigs, and then focus training on skills for curse / pilgrim recon ships. Longer term in 2010 i would like to balance exploration (for making money), with pvp (fleet support, spy / info, tackle, ecm, neuts, drones etc).
if im not too low level, then i hope you can come back to me :))

Hey guys,
been playing for about 2 weeks and hunting around for a corp that suits a player that does have quite a few real life commitments and you chaps seem to fit the bill nicely. However I don't seem to be able to find the channel JUNTA in the channel browser...?
