I would saw one of my favorite non traditional setup that completely throws out not only bonus's but its role would be my battle logi.. The ' Angry Oni '.
First a little background on why I tried it. The logistics have great resistance, and very low signature radius, so they are inherently hard to hit. Giving one a bit of 'teeth' seemed like fun.
I chose the Onerios because it has room for 5 med drones and 2 turrets, as well as a decent mid slot layout.
Highs
2 x med NEUT 2 x med autos ( either 220's or 425's ) depends on what you want to fit in the lows, bigger guns mean a buffer tank as opposed to active IMO.
Mids
2 x stasis webs 1 x AB 1 x tracking disruptor w/ tracking speed script 1 x scram
Nothings set in stone with this setup, I change it all the time depending on who I'm hunting. the mids make it very versital
Lows
1 x 800mm plate 1 x med rep 1 x EANM 1 x exp hardner
Rigs I go with egress port max's x's 2.
I made this because of where I was lurking there were a lot of solo guys in hac's that wouldn't fight me one on one in a hac because my char is 03' and they would say in local that it wouldn't be a fair fight (bla bla bla, ive had players a year old beat me because they had better setups and didn't make mistake, but that's another thread all its own). So my idea was to 'rope a dope' then in with a ship that LOOKED weaker but packed a surprise or two.
A zealot or a vaga or even a demios can get sucked in by this setup and beat pretty easy. Once on top of them ( or when they foolishly get on you) you double web them, scram/disrupt them and neut until you have half cap ( the egress port max's mean that when you have half cap..they are OUT). Then you pop their drones, and kill the neuts, and slowly kill them and enjoy killing a HAC in a Logie. Orbit at 5-9 km and keep the AB on, you will be very hard to hit and the hits they do get will suck with your low signature radius and killer resist, coupled with the weapon disruptor..
Its situational and mostly for wealthy bored griefers... but... THATS a good part of EVE!
