Congrats on a nice innovation then! Somebody must have received an answer to their petitions by now and it must be legal otherwise we would have heard something otherwise.

Correct me if i'm wrong but one guy shooting back at the navy spawns in a 0.5 (assuming he can tank it all) should pull everything available in-system. If not, i've got some more phony info for sale Because I can. |

I have a couple of questions. if I decide to join one of the militias, minmatar for example, and at some point I decide to leave will I be able to travel safely in Amarr space? Or say I want to switch factions and join the Amarr later on, will I be able to do so?

Once you leave you are a free man again. So as long as you dont bork your standings with the other factions by shooting NPC's (very easily avoidable) then you're golden. This.
Note that it makes plexing pretty damn hard to get away with if you want to keep standings.

So as a total noob to FW (and pretty noob to PVP), where should I look for the fights? (Commonsense tells me the Caldari/Gallente border zone.)
Also, how often do you get podded in FW?

Depends, who are you fighting for?
I suggest avoiding Tama, incidentally. The best places to get fights these days, at least if you don't want 23 Gallente going after your rifter with HACs, is in plexes. They limit the sizes and types of ships that can enter, and you can make a contribution to the war effort.

Once you know what you are doing, you should get podded rarely. To not get podded:
When you know you are going down, BEFORE you die, select a celestial object. Spam the warpout button like an obsessive compulsive on ritalin. Keep doing it until you die.
You generally won't ever be lockable and just warp away if you do this.
I always kinda feel a little bad when I pod my opponents, but I can rarely resist (unless they are someone I am friendly with) the lure of the orange flashy. I make up for it by trying to spread the word on how NOT to get podded :)

HOLY TROLL BATMAN! (Guess you gotta keep up with your corps name ;) ) Do you seriously have nothing better to do than snipe troll me in this thread? Are the plexes really that dull? (OK, that was a rhetorical question).
Your own corpmate will regularly switch between his account and wuff wuff to chat in the same conversation. Surely you know your own corp's blatant spies?

Caldari militia is pretty bad right now, I would look elsewhere unless you just want to farm LP or live in plexes. The general atmosphere is just bad overall:
-Corps are keeping much more to themselves and not really working together, kind of channeling the 'we are a separate elite pvp group' thing which is good action, and neutralized by gallente who can easily outnumber because they work together. -Spy paranoia at an all time high, resulting in many new people being excluded and really driven away. So the situation is probably not changing any time soon. -Fleets taking a long time to form, and almost every decent fleet where we try to ship up ends in defeat. The best caldari fleets right now are frig/cruiser gangs. We really have no response to their bigger fleets and they are getting more comfortable using caps. -Two 'major' Caldari corps were going to wardec over wreck loot? I don't know if it is sadder that someone stole or that the person they took it from was poor enough to care to wardec. |

y'know, i gotta say, it isnt goin much better for the amarr militia, my man. we typically have the same issues with people thinking the new guys the spy (me)
PERSON: lolzorz, obvius SPAI ez Obvious!
and yeah, typically it is a matter of people being like; "er..i cuuuud, lead a fleet into a minie plex...but i d be safer running missions..." we've little commanders, and fewer troops to keep up with the minies, and frankly there kicking are arsez! :P

We had people drop from fleets because they were called to do "corp ops" in pvp primetime. The next day i would check the corp killboard and they killed a rifter or something, kind of a joke.
Ahh yes loot... You would think that most people in militia are billionaires with the easymode isk press that is fw missions, but no. Most are really cool but some are so anal about loot, like they expect you to return to Nourv in the middle of an op to contract the loot back... hello there i'm kinda pvp-ing dude.
So a big fat -_- to them.

Actually I liked the initiative Smeggers started, to return loot from friendly wrecks. It's pretty obnoxious dieing for a tackle or something for your gang and they loot your wreck and fly off without ever batting an eye. Obviously returns were only when it became convenient (I tend to dump stuff in stations all over because carting loot into pvp ain't the greatest).
I don't know what it's like now though, can't play from where I am and I missing it. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

Lots of lively debate going on :)
Once again thanks to all for taking time to read. Thanks to the new pilots for joining.... we're starting to make some ground now. Next thing is proper organisation and training
The invitation is still open. We have a lot of targets. Many Caps in our region, and the Gallente are not afraid to use them, even the odd Erebus here and there. So come on in, grab some of the action, smack in local and on forums to your hearts content, or just hide out in enemy high-sec and grief enemy miners, it's all good :) (and don't worry about the spy thing, our newbies get into our fleets without too much trouble).
Thanks for looking (again!)
Aurora.

Yeah they have many caps. They've been hot dropping cruiser gangs all week We definatly need some new blood, a lot of the fights have been one-sided lately. Don't be afraid to ask for help on your fits or just ask questions in general if you're new. Faction war is kind of a training ground anyway. (As far as spys go, sometimes FCs care, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they're over-paranoid *cough*) There's good isk to be had from the missions as well. I got my first billion recently from doing the level 4's and selling navy scorpions
P.S.: Don't be discouraged by the cap comment, there are plenty of good guys on the gal side that like a good fight and are willing to engage you without a blob behind their back.

Time for a newb question, do you guys in FW tend to fly the ships of your faction or is it just a whatever ship you want as long as it fills the role? i am interested in joining but am mainly focused on amarr ships and gunnery but i do have missiles skills and can fly all t1 caldari ships and have good standings with caldari agents.
