How many frigates (eg. Rifter) would it take to take down a battleship? I've just created a corporation "Financial Excellence" and will possibly use such tactics.
Corp. description (just in case anyone wants to join): - All joiners will receive 500000 ISK and a share in corporation depending on level - All corporation income will be invested into high margin trading operations by CEO - Ships lost in corp. operations will reimbursed - 10% tax rate
Global strategy: All corporate activities will be aimed at making profits. Corporation will engage in no pointless conflicts, all player versus player fighting will be done only in defence to make cash. Yet the corpotation will operate in 0.0 space and will have to defend it's self. Current activities: -Wormhole exploration in low-secs -Exploration -Mission running -Trading to grow capital
Long term strategy: To create a network of POS in low security space.
Current recruiting policy: -Trial account players unfortunately not welcome, miners are not welcome. -Corporation recruits relatively new Minmatar players of all flying professions + scientists and industry specialists.

this isn't going to work. Why? Because people who PVP will want a STEADY stream of pvp, regardless of losses. The whole point of a corp that pvp's in frigates, is that they're cheap expendable ships that you buy by the hundreds. They're DESIGNED for stupid fun pvp fights. Where losses don't matter as long as your opponent goes down.
And trust me. the first time you try to "defend" your corp's space in 0.0 in nothing but Frigates, you'll be destroyed by a Nano/Sniper hac gang.
Frigate gangs are fun. For FUN. Not for K:D Ratios.
good luck though.

That's the funny part about it: It does already - after having been moved there from Ships & Modules.

Ha! Ive got your awnser.
My friend and his buddies made some alts and got in a bunch of week old chars and T1 frigates and t1 fittings.
Just for fun I let them pound on my completly T2 fitted Rokh. It was about 10 of them and alot of different damage types. I was active tanking so just a few NOS's killed my barly stable cap.
Eventually without backup they would have killed me, I.E if i had been cought in a belt, so yes its very very possible LOL !!
