Confirming that as a 7 mill SP main char I could really use your stuff.
Sad to hear you lost the fun in the game though. Maybe take a break? Play some other games until you yearn for EVE and it's freedom once again :>

Hey,
Have you ever gotten into exploration? you should try some small gang WH roaming, these days you're hard pressed to find a class 2-4 wormhole that isn't teaming with some industrial corp or other, and if you run into another small gang, all the more fun! can even be pretty profitable too!
(and do me a favor, when you see all the abandoned POS's laying around, blow a few up for me )

also, any guild wars players here? i've got a level 15 N/E looking to learn pvp?

it's worth it! even solo it is fun,
seen a single dictor wipe out half a corp trying to get into a class 3 once hahaha
and sorry, just started getting back into Eve, so no GW's for me right now

I'm guessing you are going through the standard life changes.
Gaming as a child: Serious learning involved. Games are one of the ways kids learn.
Gaming as a teenager: More learning involved, complexity of interactions grows.
Gaming as a late teenager, early 20s: Hmm, why am I playing? I have serious life things I can do now.
Gaming later in life: Hobby. Occupies time, provides entertainment other than the 9-5 job, keeps you out of the wife's hair, etc.
Notice that there is a transition that occurs. Gaming as learning, you are looking for new experiences. New things to learn. And once you suck all the experience/learning out of something, on to the next thing.
Gaming later in life, hmm. You are not learning. Not looking for new experiences (continually). Your goals are quite different.
I have to assume by your opening comments that you are not in the last category. Realize that you will transition into it, and may be partly there now. Thus why you want to leave, but you want to stay.

I assume you are talking about my post. No, not psychic. Just seen this pattern over and over again.
College, you should focus on that. Important things to do in RL.
Save the hardcore gaming until you need a hobby. And you will.... Omg, will you...

I've found, the best way to not get bored is to have alts. This way you can do different things when ever you want. If I want to go hunt in 00, I have a alt for that. If I want to Pirate I have a alt for that. If I want to go play in FW, I have a alt for that.
I have 3 combat alts that do different things and fly in different places and different ships. This way, if I can't find targets on one or I'm bored, I just log on the other.

yeah i use to do that too. had one in a highsec griefing corp and one in a pirate corp, i just ended up not knowing anyone in my corp and feeling alienated. i find it hard to fly with a corp unless its not a close knit unit.
anyways i gotta go to psych, so just end my life now. probably the most boring lectures a psych class can have...

Keep a favourite account or two subbed and keep training, but other than that, stay off until you've been gone long enough for your interest to perk up.
I'm halfassing my time atm, really enjoying STO beta.

I have a bunch of 20s in guildwars, got bored of guildwars rather fast. I heard they made it even worse, although they were usually pretty quick to balance things.
I really only played the first two, kinda makes me wonder what they did in the newer ones.

tbfh guild wars gets really boring much faster than eve. the pvp is extremely boring and is more fotm by what the devs nerf/boost than any game I've played. I have 8 20's, played it for a long time, and I just can't go back. the devs allow a god mode skill in pve, and thusly the high end content is all people asking for the class that uses the skill for, well, almost the whole group because its the only way to tank most of the damage in GW. There are still high end areas in GW that have amazing loot/goodies that are completely void of anything except guild groups because the devs made them impossible to tank/aggro effectively or they do damage that gets around the god mode class.
basically, the GW devs that made the game fun moved on to GW2, but then that got delayed, the devs did not come back to GW and left a scrap team of nobodies, and the game is imo well on its way to dying.
if you do leave eve tho, I'll gladly have some of ur stuffs.

Ahh, I'm pretty sure it was a HICtor actually =P and I'd give you the killmails, but I choose not to due to a personal connection with said corp

Seriously, keep all your stuff and just take a break. I've quit Eve 3 [?] times, each time because I was getting bored with it, but I keep coming back. CCP won't delete your character, so you can just let it sit until you decide if you really want to quit for good or not. Chances are, after a few months or a year you will start pining for the space-fjords again, and when you do you will be glad to have a high-SP character with a decent amount of gear. ___________ Composed primarily of meat.
I speak for my corp and alliance. Everything I say, they will back up 100%. They are absolutely willing to go to war to defend my forum antics. |

First: GW is dead and has been dead for a while. **** PvPing with a PvE character, just make a PvP character so you can use all the skills and items, etc. that you have unlocked. Focus on unlocking a specific build that works well with your faction points or whatever. A lot of the equipment is crap and is not necessary to buy. Always keep around 2k spare faction incase you need to buy a couple skills or something
Second: Try soloing united gatecamps in rancer, it's lots of fun.
err.
Third: Frigate roams to Providence was what got me back into this game.
for more GWs:
irc.gamesurge.net #guildwarsguru
or
guildwarsguru.com
Both are still fairly active (SAY HI) AFAIK. GW PvP though, is all arena and endgame PvE consists of farming the underworld.
GW2 is on the way though, and GW is pretty much empty. Not sure if you have all the expansions. If PvP is still competitive(I doubt it) then you will need all of them to remain competitive. I recycled PvP toons like mad when I played, don't be afraid to just erase and create a new guy. ===
Quote: I think the point [of t3] was that your foes would never know how you were fit, adding the element of surprise. Like, surprise!!! I decided to go with EHP and DPS.
