In reply to the recent messages put out from Frontenac (One of 5th Freedom's 3 CEOs) concerning their forums and related security procedures.
I do not and have never denied that as part of the WI ts and forum registration details entered such as limited api are recorded and stored for security checks.
This is a step undertaken by many alliances and corps to try and prevent their forums/ts from being accessed.
However currently any user wanting to change their api after registration are free to do so without it affecting their access to WI services, this is however not the case for a system such as the Junta or -5- forums, as they are actively storing api information and checking it every time a user logs on. Meaning not only do they also store your details but you are prevented from changing it whilst requiring access.
As far as comments relating to my character as an internet spaceships player, or even a rl person. I consider it part of my game to take the security of the alliance as my upmost priority, this involves use of 'meta gaming' as it has been put. I think that most people who work on a level required to succeed in 0.0 realise the only counter to metagaming, is to metagame yourself.
This include the use of spies, api checking, bribery (in the current case), and many other techniques.
This does not however include the access of an EVE online account as this would of course be a breach of the EULA.
