I joined eve game for the fun the diferent type game
Now I feel like I am paying for a game that is a test game nothing more Here is a exsample for people who's parents pay for there game before you rag
You live in a home but you can't use the bathroom you don't have a room even though there is plenty of rooms in the house and you can't use your bed
Now for players who pay for your game You own a house but you can't live in it every day only certain days
Now I understand eve doing a new version of eve and problems happen which is understandable
But I feel along with many others not getting what we paying for I now can't even get game to sign on I mean come on
While in game you freeze crash loseing ISK loseing ships and you know what is said File a petotion and we will get to it someday
Now if I am correct eve was in testing for months and now it seems we have more problems as game went live as when was test
Now alot will say this is complaining No this is getting what I pay a month for and that is play a game with few problems that can not be helped...
I find this was very poorly done on eve part and hate to say money they will lose from players leaving to other games no new players will show in there profits
I only hope eve can get these problems fixed as soon as possiable
I persoanlly am tired the mess up and want game I orignally started playing which if means new it is but want it working correctly
So now I say to end guys/girls before you jump all over me I work hard for my money and most who pay for you to play allso do my money means alot for work I do

feels good to rant, doesn't it? personally, if i had any assets i'd be damn careful during a patch phase. do you people really understand this concept? This is why they delayed as long as possible...all patches in every game have this issue.
I wonder what the attitude of PAID quality assurance folks working at someplace like Sierra think about all this hooplah? hehehe
so the server's borked. so what. so lag's horrible lately. so what. so the market was fubar first day. soooooo what.
it's a game, not your house, not your job. do you get paid to work in outer space or what? ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

If you aren't ready to suffer a few days of lag and bugs then don't log in after those big patches. Kthx, time to go read the next ranting topic

CCP are small, they can't keep their game in testing for as long as is perhaps needed, they'd go bust or their "innovative" ideas would very rapidly become outdated.

also truth be told if you where to keep a game in testing till all the bugs are fixed it would never come out
CCP does a awesome job getting EVE running (useally) and peoble was warned to set a long skill training it is rather predicteble that there will be problems with a huge patch like Shiva
also if you got 300 peoble playing (on the test server) or 10000 ppl on Tranq that proberly makes a small deference as well
Thank You Paw Sandberg

I guess djaccity doesn't understand the world of software development. It's impossible to release a piece of software of this magnitude and not experience big problems. Why is it impossible? There's no way to test the servers without turning them on, letting people log in, and listening to all the complaining. Just give it a few days. Instead of complaining, just search for your problem in a thread. If it doesn't exist, add it. If it does, why repeat it and complain about it? No one hears the complaints. In the end, dgaccity just wasted a bunch of time typing his complaints. No one really cares what you have to say dgaccity. But continue if you must.

I'm a software developer myself. And I think I can speak for the CCP devs when I say that this complaining is completely unnecessary. It is, like Soren said, IMPOSSIBLE to release something of this magnitude and not have bugs. Even the smallest programs have bugs. The larger the program, the more numerous the bugs. Remember Windows 95? Couple billion lines of code, and they still haven't found all the bugs even after 10 years.
So STFU and deal with it. It will only last a few days.

If your plumbing breaks in your house do you not still pay for your house? or do you call a plumber and not pay him?
I like EVE and I want to play, stuff happens, and ill still pay to play even if things are messed up, because i know they will be fixed.

I also feel that CCP made a horrible mistake by changing the game in any way, even though they changed it to accomodate the whines of many people, myself included.
CCP should have let the game stagnate and die so that I would not be inconvienenced by lag for a few days. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Remember people, the main problem is that Shiva was tested with likely AT MOST 300 people. The only way Shiva will ever be played is to correct the bugs on the live server. After all, Code behaves differently when accessed by variable number of people...
An example of this, look at any microsoft networking product. :)
