Its not exactly a small download.

Its not exactly a small download. thats also not a UI problem. Also, if it wants you to redownload your stuff... turn off the UI, goto the old UI, backup your stuff.. goto new UI, run your backups.. Install windows 7 (you can skip this step if win7 is already installed) Right click on steam button Everything you want is there! Yay jumplists! Just get a "shell error" now when it tries to show the window. But all other features seem to work just fine.

BAR NONE the most important change: Steam now uses an open source webkit, and no longer relies on antiquated proprietary IE technologies. Also, some people found some Mac OS X assets somewhere. It seems there my be steam client support inside of Mac OS X in the near future. This is a very important step for them, and also nice for me. Even if most of the games remain PC only, simply being able to keep in touch with people while I work away in my preferred OS will be nice.
