There's a warning. So unless you're drunk or went, "OMGWTFBBQ" and clickeed yes by panic, you're ok.

Yes because clearly a popup warning justifies placing the trash item directly under the activate item, because there's no risk at ALL of someone accidentally clicking yes to a dialogue.
I think people like you are responsible for vista's dialogues.

And change order/cancel order. Of course there's not even a confirmation dialog, you just lose your order plus all the taxes and broker fees. I've lost millions to this first thing in the morning...

Was in vent with an alliance m8 once when he accidentally trashed a Rokh.
I LOL'd with my push-to-talk button unpressed.
One should always pay attention to confirmation dialogs your client throws at you, lest you end up getting CONCORDed or accidentally trash a billion isk item.

I must have updated orders tens of thousands of times... And never managed to misclick on 'cancel'... It's pretty easy to avoid, after right-clicking you always move your mouse a set distance down.

i trashed few moduels there and there. nothing big though, but it will be nice if there was a line or more spacing between the two.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I seem to remember a series of events where they fixed this particular UI issue, then it came back for good in the next patch.

What I love about the UI is the fact that someone, somewhere, must have actually put thought into it. It's quite scary when you try to imagine the thought processes these people have. It's like taking a peek into an asylum. You just know these people go through life leaving train wrecks for others to deal with but are completely oblivious to that fact. My cat could do a better job if I ran a wind up mouse over the UI and the buttons placed where he pounced.

Ive found that "show info" and "start conversation" are also too darn close to each other, random convo's that go nowhere after some simple curiosity, it explains at least 90% of the lag in game tbh.

CCP does fail at UI's. The people who let their mind default and go into autopilot fail at EVE. Don't fly on autopilot, don't think on autopilot. That is all.

Yea it is stupid. At the very least it should be "Trash it" then a side menu to "Confirm Trash It" so you cant click it by accident and give yourself a heart attack.
I get the same sort of thing every time I fight a carrier and keep trying to open its hanger instead of approach...

The menu system is pretty much universally agreed to be awful. So awful in fact, that
1) Entity (i believe) Did an example of what it should be here:
How the menu should be LINKY
Basically common sense. Indeed, anything other then the current menu design (which is practically impossible to design any worse baring rotating 3D graphics and randomly moving menu options) would be acceptable
2) The council of steller managament passed this and sent it to CCP to be implemented. After all, thats what CCPs press department briefed the CSM was all about. HOORAH
Oh, this was passed on Saturday 6th December 2008.
Only 14 months ago for a small change to the order of a menu....
Next time the CSM is up for vote - dont forget to abstain with all your accounts. Time to bin this embarrassing farce
