In the patch notes its written that they plan to make all kill missions be in deadspace.
fun.....
How many here enjoy moving slow as hell to approach and engage, and looting cans without mwd?
Why not just remove kill missions? They will be unplayable unless they add some tractorbeam thingy to loot, but it will still be impossible to play a blastership

I've not tried any deadspace missions - we were warned not to do them 'cause they're bugged at the moment.
Don't you have any friends who can come in and do the loot picking for you? Most of the difficult missions (i.e, the ones you'll really want to do at long-range) more than likely will require friends to kill anyway (for the average player).
Destroyers are quite quick and have quite large cargo bays.
I have no solution for blaster setups, though.

i don't like the fact we can't use mwd's. but if we could it would make the missions easier and less fun to do. collecting can's is a pain, but as i only get about 1 can per 20 cruisers and it's always got crap in it, i no longer bother collecting the loot.
if you want to collect the loot might be a good idea to have an ares near by to fly between the cans and a bs or something

Add some loot drone/beam, and boost ship speed or afterburner.
If i spend 90% of the time alt tabbed out of game there is something wrong with it

Lol dude you have no idea how much flamage your tread title will bring down on you
Anyway I tend to agree that having NPC kill missions in deadspace is kinda dumb, I like having challenging (yeah theyre overly difficult now but they should still be challenging after they get fixed) complexes for those who want to fool with em, but not for everyone else. However I could see putting level 4 missions in deadspace for the hell of it. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

I don't know what mission this my buddie was trying to do but the gate wouldn't let us junp through it with battleships..
Although the gate itself looks sweet thats about as far deadspace I've been so far

The thing is Josh that according to the patch notes *all* missions will be in deadspace (but it could be a misstatement in the nores). Not only does it make no story sense (pirates only conduct operations in deadspace?) its a pain in the ass for anyone who relied upon a MWD based setup. Seems to me CCP is trying to sneak in instancing after saying they hated it. --------------------------------------------------

I have to say, I agree with most peeps on this one.
CCP..... please give us our MWD back in Deadspace.
Dont need double MWD you can keep the nerf on that, just the one would be nice
Noo sig comming SOONÖ =================================================== What are we going to do about all this ignorance and apathy?.... I don't know and I don't care! |

Why don't you stop being so linear (narrow minded in your training) and try some different things. How could anything possibly remain fun if you continually do the same thing time after time. Try projectile weapons, get a friend in a frig to pick up loot (if you have any). Get help with you missions. Nothing is ever as bad as you want them to be...er think they are.
I can't believe the number of whinebabies who don't know how to adapt away from their straight line thinking. Yeah, it might take some time to train a different skill, so what. For those who cry and say they are changing to a different game, it will equal the exact same thing, more training. |

Perhaps it's "dead" space because mwd's/warp doesn't work. Personally I think it's daft if all kill missions end up in here. I would expect any decent rat to have some sort of life outside of crummy pocket dimensions.

Yeah I have to agree with this topics title.
One of the things that makes Eve enjoyable is its flexibility and anything goes attitude. Putting restrictions on types of ships entering complexes, types of modules allowed to be used in complexes, warp in points, min number of people to beat a complex make the idea of complexes seem really gamey and remind me of the instanced dungeons of EQ.
With this missions nerf and the Solo NPC'ing nerf (they now run away at 1kms+ when they get low HP), it seems the best / perhaps only option for soloing is mining empire and many soloers prolly will choose to leave then take up mining as a full time profession.

I might go along with something like that but only if the rewards for such missions got waaaaaay better. Churning out missions now is pretty boring, but it also brings in a lot of money and is actually comparable to mining and other professions in that. I just fear that without major beefing of mission rewards, the overhead of working in a complex just aint gonna be worth it. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |
