Everyone referrs to this forum in writing and verbally as COAD, so lets just make it official! saying CAOD ( KAY-OD ) just is goofy sounding and people just stop and stare :) You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you.

I am not against joking qaround I am merely ponting out that keeping CAOD around for people to post lies (essentially) is stupid. Invasion news & battle reports Dont get me wrong, It is perfectly fine to post biased news and reports, and I enjoy reading the arguments that come from it. What I do not enjoy is reading the thousands of "first page" and "bitter alt is bitter"-posts. This, I think, can be solved by heavy moderation. The business of giving warnings do not appear to stem the tide of crap washing over any and all threads in here. I realise that my objections to manure-posting are not shared by all of you, but that is exactly my point - rampant deliberate disruption of communication is making it impossible for CAOD to deliver. The rants As much as anyone, I enjoy reading the occational and often vierd and wonderfull walls of text. Brief or lenghty, I enjoy a post that bears proof of the effort put into it. Some posters enjoy spamming replie. These replies can only be described as jealous attempts to grab reflections of cool. This would not be so much of a problem if CAOD was moderated properly (hint you have to DELETE posts AND threads that violate the rules. Do NOT simply lock them ) Apology Having just realized that I am off topic (for CAOD,) I am going to stop. I am sure those who understand will find some meaning or perhaps truth in my message. Those who do not understand are likely to make themselves blatantly visible (here or in another CAOD thread.) If you are reading this and thinking, "but what can I do," simply start reporting posts that violate the posting rules. Do not reply back! See a first-post? report it. Someone gone off topic? report the post. Someone trying to derail your discussion? report them. Think of the "report button" as your only effective weapon against the deluge of human failures. (oh my, this DID get a bit long didnt it.)

Hell, just call it 0.0 Alliance discussions and be done with it.

Yes there is a lot of crp and chest beating and epeen but if you cut through that you can get a general idea of whats happening where. Also you get both sides of a story and can make your own mind up on which side is spouting the most bullsht propoganda. An example if I wanted to know how IT is doing in Delve if i spoke to their members it would be we are pwning everyone we're great rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb same if I asked NC how they are doing. At least on here you get that + a load of neuts who are also in that area and they give their exp's so you get a more complete picture. So for me although there is a huge amount of trash in here there is some worthwhile info to. Nem

The smart way would be to ignore the hatred and trolling, respond to the core issues and claims, and bite you tongue from responding to mentally 12 year old's who find it amusing to try and burn you for their perverted pleasure. By reporting every post that lacks content relevant to the topic, CAOD will draw more of the mods attention. I dont see a reason why, if something big happens, the first page is basicly made of "first page, posting in epic tread and u mad?"-posts. I wouldnt realy like to see actual eve players moderate the forums as they tend to have a personal relation to diferent alliances an corps. I think we all just should report the oneliners and posts that dont are relevant to the given topic. It¦ll help the mods in getting the forums clean.
