Whats ur favorite hac and why?
Mine is the zealot for it's great dps at any range and it ability to fit a solid armor tank or speed tank without sacrificing much dps. Also I dislike luggin around drones in a ship thats meant to warp out when it detects any danger.

I have to agree to some extent, though i do like the Sacrilege a whole lot as well. Zealot gets my vote for its great looks though!
I think i will have to mention the Cerb as well, since its my primary ship when PvE:ing.

My vagabond makes me feel like im flying a frigate with a monster tank i love it. and its range and dps is nothing to make fun of

Yea sac is my 3rd favorite. can fit a nice buffer but I'm not a real fan of missiles,

vaga is fun... after that i like the muninn/zealot. I like the Ishtar in theory but never really put it through its paces.

Sac/Zeal for obvious reasons..1 has a nasty tank the other excellent hac dps from a comfortable range

My favorite HACs:
#1 Vaga, for the speed. It's solo and gang friendly.
#2 Zealot/Muninn, for the damage and range.
#3 Sac, for small gang gank and/or tank.
#4 Ishtar, for small gang versatility.
Least favorite HACs:
#1 Deimos. For being an expensive Brutix.
#2 Cerb. Instant damage from an Eagle is usually preferable, low damage is better than 0 damage.
#3 Eagle. For being total crap at the snipe range your gang will operate at.

Vaga for solo, Zealot/Muninn/Eagle for sniping hac fleet and diemost if you want to fail horribly.

Dual-rep Sacrilege. Only downside is that its a little light on base armour.

it will die when it gets dual neuted ;)
Anyway for me i would say vaga first for its versatility then zealot tho it is opposite from vaga , very specialized damage dealer , and third would be ishtar i guess it can do pve and small scale pvp very well and it is very versatile because it has drones and can be shield or armor tanked , ofc it is not as fast as vaga ... 4th would come Sacri.
Cynabal is like vaga on steroids btw but it dont count :)

Why ? Because i find that BC are cheaper and do the job better.
Exception of the vaga.

Ishtar = i really prefer the myrm (less drones yes but 6 high and enough PG/CPU to fit Autocannons and funny stuff =)

Munin = the hurricane do the job better / cheaper
Vaga = well, quite a unique ship. I like it

Cerb = i prefer the drake: more resilient.
Eagle = lol, crap ship. ANyway, the ferox do the job better and cheaper again

Sacrilege = well, i forgot it, quite a unique ship too. I really like the bonuses but i don't know if it's worth. A friend told me about a nasty plated thing spitting HAM at medium range while perma running mwd. It's interesting.

I DON'T LIKE HAC exception of the vaga (sure) and the sacri (maybe).

The Muninn, Zealot and even the Eagle CAN snipe though, which is really hard for a BC. At least if you want a proper range.
Also, I never understood why people like the Vaga so much. I guess it's because of near-invincibility and fight-picking when solo-roaming. However, most fights happen on a gate and the Vaga really can't do anything to prevent people making it back to the gate, without giving up its strengths.

I agree for sniper's roles. Exception of the eagle that is still crap because of the low dps and low alpha.

Huricane gets owned by good vaga and harbinger gets owned by 44km optimal pulse zealot ... they are almost 2x faster as well so you can run gate camps and be very very mobile... zealot with good fit goes 2000m/s harbinger max 1200 ... aligns bad as well so if you need to warp chance is that you will die... they are good but battlecruiser gangs losse to good hac gangs in 0.0 ... if you can dictate range and speed in pvp then tank and dps are pretty useless.
That is the reason why people love HACs...they are ultra fun and effective if you know what are you doing ... if you dont know then even t1 cruiser can kill you ... or t1 bc :/

I like the vaga for PvP and the Ishtar for PvE, but honestly I prefer recons for the t2 line.

and your doing it wrong... The Ish has a better tank, better resists, and the myrm moves around at BS speeds... The mrym has no flexibility, whereas an Ishtar can dual or triple role in a small gang. It can Sentry Snipe, Remote rep with drones, and hunt fast frigs all with the same setup. It is basically a faster Domi, the Ishtar pretty much is a Faster domi with slightly lower dps.

HACs are very specialized ships, and unless you need to do that spesific role, I generally perfer BCs, or even faction cruisers, since they are more of a general nature.
HACs are good however if mobility and speed is importent, and still maintain decent dps at good ranges. My faw for that is the Vaga.
Other then that I really like Recons better.
