I'm not pushing for a cap related bonus, just a little extra on the total cap stat or something, maybe enough to free up just one mid or rig slot lol.
As it stands, fitting 8 guns and a rep makes it greatly unstable, and requires a minimum of 3 large CCC rigs and 3 cap recharger IIs just to fix it. That's without any other modules fitted yet. Just the mandatory guns and the repper. I dont think it's very reasonable to be forced to use up so much of a ship's fittings just to make it actually fly, before you even get onto modules you might actually need/want. |

I don't get why people expect to be able to fit a full rack of top range guns and a rep.
I prefered it back in 2003/4 when you could only fit 4 top range guns on a ship without any fitting mods, it made the lower teir guns useful and forced you to specialise fittings alot more.

Use a cap booster. Charges cost naff all. Then you have rigs and mids for actual useful things. |

Once again, if you're talking about PvE you don't need anything in the mids besides cap, MAYBE a burner, or with a tachyon fit a tracking computer. Anything else is unnecessary. If you're talking about PvP fitting cap rechargers and CCC's is a grand failure cascade, use a cap booster. ________

Cap Booster. Frees lots of slots for more useful stuff. But is a bit annoying because you have to reload after each mission. ------ Make Lowsec useful! Vote in the CSM-Forum! |

As a guy who loves to fly abbadons (for reasons that don't involve NPC's), id like to address this one with a suggestion for the OP:
Shut your damn mouth.
The ships is fine, in fact, its more than fine, its a bulldozer of death and destruction, and so help me god if they do one damn thing to change it I shall make it my life's mission to destroy every ship you undock in.

Also, we have a section, all for this kind of thing...if only I could remember where we put ideas for changes to the game (even horribly bad ones like balancing balanced ships)

needs to be reduced to 7 turrets tbh, it would really benefit from a utility high, and remove the resist bonus and replace it with an armour rep amount.

ROFL. Ok, First, don't triple tank. Second, drop the Large Hull Rep and Invul fields for Cap Batteries, Cap Recharger IIs, or a Cap Booster. Will make your cap last a longer.

Abaddons are fine. Cap is a weak spot, certainly, but in every other way it's a beast of a ship. Without 'bad cap' it would be overpowered.

Cap stability is only a concern when engaging in PvE. For PvP you rarely need more than 5 minutes sustained activity (close range skirmishing, not fleet .. that's Apoc turf). Seen in that light it doesn't need more.
What it does need is grid enough to wield: 8 Mega Pulses, MWD, 2 Heavy Injectors, 2 Large reps.
Make it an active tanking monstrosity or at least give it the option.

But, you can do that...you only need to downgrade to lower tier Pulses, or mix DHP and MPs which works fine IMHO... Most 2x LAR SBs have to use the lowest-tier weapon available, or at Domis case, even use med-guns in order to fit 2x heavy cap boosters.
Local Rep Amarr BSs unfortunately work really only if you leave out the MWD, but since RR setups work fine, I don't think that this is a problem...
Edit: for PVE, i don't think you can find many T1 BSs with the dmg projection/range/dps of the abaddon that with non-exotic mods pull a better tank and are cap stable with way less cap mods... Join the Biggest Greek Corp! www.Mythos-eve.com - Join Mythos Channel in game! |

Have perfect cap skills, like abaddon very much, would not fly without a cap booster. Just accept that the cap booster is mandatory along with the MWD and don't worry about it.
