Actually the funny thing is that the original mention of hidden loss mails related to something that an individual I am friends with messaged me about to make fun of.
That "hidden" Tengu loss is the one I am talking about. A week or so after the loss happened, Kovid from Reaper (At the time part of Rote K - They dont like us) trolled me with a "Ha ha your CEO lost his Tengu." message. Ever since I joined Noir, Kovid has been watching our KB so he can find stuff to poke fun at me about. In good fun though, as we are real life friends.
I guess Kovid just has some sort of magical ability to find loss mails after we have gone to great lengths to conceal them.

I flew with NOIR. for a short time and personally I found them be a decent and honest group of people. The only incident that I personally remember of losses not being promptly posted was this guy:

This mail was not posted, I assume because of the way the culture within NOIR. has developed. Simply put, bad losses are frowned upon and if bad or frequent enough can easily get you kicked. I can see where this could lead to NOIR. members attempting to hide when they fail. In the above situation the mail was brought to the attention of NOIR. via the forums and was resolved quickly. The mail got posted and unsurprisingly the member was kicked. This of course reinforces a sub-culture of fear that exists in NOIR. ranks of screwing up and getting booted.
That being said if that is how Alek chooses to keep his troops in line so be it, he is in charge after all. I left NOIR. because their style of play did not gel with mine. I play EvE to hunt and find fights and win. For the most part I found that NOIR. plays to not lose. What that meant for me is that while in NOIR. I was not free to play the game how I wanted so I parted ways.
Is that bad? Not exactly. I think that NOIR's history and efficiency on the battlefield speaks for itself and when youÆre a client looking for results, they provide them in a viciously efficient manner.
To that end while our play styles did not mesh I would still fight alongside many of them just as long as I don't have to listen to Nidia run his mouth on comms. The core of NOIR takes EvE very seriously being both respectful to the community and their enemies while displaying a level of in alliance organization the likes that I have not seen in any of the other groups that I have flown with.

My 2c:
This whole "your killboard is inaccurate 011001000111010101101000!!" rabble is ridiculous imo.
Of course it's inaccurate.
I'd be very surprised to find any Eve killboard that accurately represents kills and losses for a given campaign. Consider:
- The declared friendly combatants in any campaign are the members of a corp/alliance. Losses of out of corp/alliance supporting characters are not reported as a part of a campaign, and cannot be, as; killboard mechanics aside; maintaining their (however im-)plausible deniability is a tactical and strategic priority surpassing the need for accurate accounting of losses.
So losses reported are less than "actual" losses.
- In 0.0 space particularly: the apparently accepted practice is to target the space itself; rather than alliances and corps. This practice includes all neutral kills (or perhaps not so neutral - the targets almost certainly have ooc supporting characters too) as valid kills for the accounting of a campaign.
So kills reported are greater than "actual" kills.
How boards deal with friendly fire incidents is a mystery to me, I don't design killboards. If, by way of hypothetical example: an ooc hauler alt fails to correctly enter a POS field password and gets waxed by the (technically friendly) POS defences after bouncing off the shield is that a kill? A loss? Both, lol? Or should it be quietly ignored?
Another inaccuracy.
Has it ever been any other way? :P

As a former Noir member, I can honestly say the 99% of the time after I killed OR lost something, it would be posted to the KB before I even got a chance to do it myself, for the power of director mouse clicky fingers is strong. Also, while transferring from the old killboard to the new one, I seem to remember aleks and the person redoing the board making sure the kills were accurate, cross-referencing killboards, triple checking things, etc, on ventrillo for about 2 hours while I spun ships. Aleks is quite serious about his killboard/campaigns and I know without a doubt he would never mess with it to make the corp seem better then it is. Talk smack about them if you feel you need to, but Aleks & co. are a fine and honorable bunch. I see a lot of people making fun of the corp, how its run, who runs it, but they never seem to have a reason why.
Show me on the doll where NOIR touched your main.......
