(My personal views .... so if you disagree, disagree but don't be a noob)
/me on my 16th Security Kill mission ....
Level 4 missions can be solo'd but there are a few tricks.
(Sansha Missions)
Apoc's, Geddons sux ........ they simply don't give enough damage in a given period of time while trying to fend off the little / big beggers.
1) Warp Core Stabs are your friend ..... forget being matcho, unless you have 4 then your going to die more than once.
2) Sort by size and kill the little buggers first.
3) **Hint** they normally don't fire until you do ... so get in place, aligned to planet, opt range etc etc before you let loose.
4) Warp in ....... pick your target hit them hard and warp out .... you WILL NOT take them out in one go.
5) On multiple waves always be ready to leave when the last ship dies.
6) Ravens owns in these missions.
My setup ....... Raven
High
1 x E500 Nos 6 x Siege Launchers
Mid
1 x Large SB tech 2 1 x Shield Amp 2 x EMP Tach 1 x Therm Tack 1 x Cap Recharger 2
Low
4 x Warp Stabs 1 x Reactor Control 2
If it helps .... good ... if not Yap Yap

I've not had a deadspace mission yet (from what i've heard, probably a good thing) and have found the rest to be fairly reasonable in difficulty, overall isk reward and fun. So far, the hardest faction for me have been the sanshas too. Probably because my raven has lower shield tanking potential vs lasers than vs the predominantly kinetic attacks of guristas. The only annoying things have been getting the loot, difficulty to get the bonuses (i've managed about 1 in 3) and lower LP vs lvl 3 agents (I find lvl 4 solo to be comparable to lvl 4 solo for isk rewards, if not slightly higher - but i've avoided the deadspace missions my corpmates have told me took them huge amounts of time to complete)
I have to agree, the general rules are warp core stabs (unless you're near as damn 100% sure you don't need them), numerous hardeners for the rats you're facing and weapons for the rats your facing.

Used a similar setup to you at first but as usual it changed where i felt it needed to. Currently using :
[Caldari Navy Missions]
High
6 x Siege 1 x Heavy Nos 1 x (spare - fit whatever you can get away with)
Medium
1 x CL-5 XL Shield Booster 2 x Shield Boost Amps 2 x Kinetic Hardeners <-- Against Guristas 1 x Thermal Hardener <-- Against Guristas
Low
5 x PDU II (Or 4 x PDU II & 1 x Ballistic control)
So far i have been using Wrath cruise for missions until i use up my stockpile then i might switch to Juggernaut torpedoes. Although you cant use your shield booster indefinately it only takes a few cycles to heal to 100%. Do not forget and keep it running - this will probably get you killed.
As posted already, always take out the warp scrambling and webbing frigates first, if you get into problem later on you want to be able to retreat safley. Then move onto the cruisers, ideally taking out the ones that like to mwd right up to you (Mortifiers, Annialators (sp?)). After all the escorts are dead move onto the battleships, focus fire on one at a time and remember the closer your engaging it the quicker it will die.
I've been able to take everything lvl4 missions have thrown at me so far. That includes multiple battleship with 15+ odd cruisers & the frigate escorts. And haven't had to warp out once.

The non-deadspace missions have all been quite do-able solo (even in an Apoc). The dead space missions are a totally different story with all the bugged sh!t in there.

Hmm I am taking LVL 4 Kill missions with my Apoc.
I am also not being warp scrambled, at least not so far, I have only done 5 missions.
The frigs web me but I am always able to warp out.
I run missions for Carthum Conglomerate. Here is my Apoc setup that is getting me by:
Hi: 6x MegaPulse 2x Siege Launchers (paradise - frig killer)
Mid: 4x Cap-recharges (some named)
Low: 2x Named L armor Repairer 3x Hardeners (1 em, 2 thermal for Sansha) 2x cap-relay
I am able to tank the 15 cruiser / 2 bs spawns with only warping out once if not at all. I take out frigs and cruisers first and leave the BS till last.
At first itÆs overwhelming to see so many enemies but then you start to figure it out.

i had a mission today with 113 total ships in it for 10 locations. 83 cruisers, 27 ceptors, 3 bs's. most of the spawns could of been done solo but a couple was really bad. i use a raven armor tanked. and had a few other misisons where i had to call for help. but all in all very good fun

A deimos with 1 faction kinetic hardner and 1 thermal is pretty spiffy too... dread conquistadors do the occasional 10 damage wrecking shot

shove a mwd on ya raven (i know its usually a no no but trust me on this) and they are a lot easier, specially if u have intys cos u can keep outta range longer.
I also had the 10bm last night, pirate slaughter i think it was called. Took me about 45 mins to kill everything and about an hour to scoop the loot in a kessie afterwards. It was all crap but goes to making more torps so no probs.
Ive yet to have a lvl4 mission (and i havent had a deadspace yet) that i cant do in my raven with torps + MWD and minimal tank

hmm an intresting setup ill give you that, i prefer the old fashoned PDU II shield tank setup myself (plenty of other sites on this) and dont bother with the stabs not been blown up yet those frigs are to easy to kill and not been webbed scrambled yet as they are usually dead befor they get anywhere near me.
Tactic is to warp in at 60 book mark run away then warp to that at 60, so im ~120k away.
Then i unleash hell at the webifiers\bounty hunters with cruise and swap to torps for the big slow things.
Job done
one thing extra is that sometimes they are a bit hard to do solo (hard to break bs'es tank usually), so i just get my mate in a scorp to tank for me while i spam torps.

torps work on the intys too, even if they are close and orbiting. Just so you know

Aye. I've noticed if I fire torps at NPC interceptors as they are approaching, they just follow them around aimlessly until they hit their runtime.
If I fire them once they start orbiting, then they usually catch up and kill them within about 7-10 seconds.
