it never fails, some cheese and crumpet eating euro always has to defend ccp
1.) I like EVE; even in it's niche market where children are not welcome. 2.) I am not a Euro 3.) People like you embarrass me and thus I wish I was euro (so as not to be associated with you) ... 10.) I like cheese and crumpets (not necessarily together)
Sorry guy, living in a country doesn't make you a citizen. Unless you contribute to the machine your just another latte sipping space cadet leeching off the economy.

Then I suggest that you go to account services, cancel your account, go to those 'other MMO's' Create an account, and stay there. You won't be missed here at all. -------------------------------------------------- Real Men Pod Tank |

Well, i have been playing about 20 Online games. Eve is in general very stable, and very generous when it is about discos with bringing the players avatar/ship to safety.
I would not talk that loudly about Networking and Internet; you simply have no idea about networking.
Simply pinging your LAN gateway or the ISPs gateway shows only that you are checking your first hop. That does not list any problem. Ever heard about D-class adress space in the Internet? That is where the problems come from. Infrastructure background of the internet, to keep it simple. To list what could have happened to cause a disco are so many issues, that it would need more than just a simple explanation in a forum thread. To explain it to you would cover even more space.
But keep in mind: 15.000 to 45.000 players are online. How many of them are complaining here about networking issues? How many of the blamers are directing the fault to CCP? How many of them are even stating, that CCP devs have no idea about networking?
I dont see many.
What happened? Have u been in a big alliance battle with 100s of ships? Or just lost a BS due to the fact you underestimated the rats and couldnt warp out?
I dont care. I play on a netbook using UMTS, i dont have any laggs making it impossible for me to play.
Calm down, apologize, and then ask for help. I guess, you didnt notice so far, that if CCP cant/wont help, there are 1000s of nice players, giving you help, a hand or simply help you out.
Have a nice day. --- Honker:"Damn! Ok, I'll go and loot my wife now..." --- HighSec Gankers? Well, every world has its psychpaths. |

lag is pathetic today isp is working fine so its either something on the net or ccp Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

95%? Why this totally unsubstantiated optimism? NO WAY there are 300M people on Earth using their brain. There's few thousands, the rest are all disposable drones fed "ideals" and propaganda and then used by them. Since millenia.

When nodes are lagging you die, whether to pve, pvp, or just plain npc bugs (friendly npc insta pop). This is the equivalent of playing WoW and losing assets/levels, playing MAG/planetside/CoD MW2/Bad Company and losing levels due to discoing. You can launch all the expansion packs/sub-games you want but if the game mechanic your product relies so heavily upon is broken you will only attract a minimum amount of players.
Having these issues at hand your customer support strongly denies they exist and send automated responses to there clientele ignoring they exist. As a team of developers you only half-ass MMO concepts hoping to make headlines only to promote your broken product. So please keep ignoring the obvious and continue press whoring youtube videos of streaming text and static images. Other companies are already in the process of making a much better internet spaceship MMO.
ps. The good idea guy in the department responsible for the triple forum verification needs to work at Microsoft.
edit: forgot to mention, the solution should be very simple for your network programmers if you have any. By pinging the player's ISP gateway server which disco'd you can tell if that server went down. Then again, that would mean identifying that your software is at fault. Since the ISP never goes down, its your code that causes buffer overflows and closes the players sockets. And the clients software package is poorly designed at handling memory architecture and communicating with operating software security.

Whale (origin Old English hwael) is the common name for various marine mammals of the order Cetacea. The term whale is sometimes used to refer to all cetaceans, but more often it excludes dolphins and porpoises, which are also cetaceans but belong to the suborder Odontoceti (toothed whales). This suborder also includes the sperm whale, killer whale, pilot whale, and beluga whale. The suborder Mysticeti (baleen whales), are filter feeders that feed on small organisms caught by straining seawater through a comblike structure found in the mouth called baleen. This suborder includes the blue whale, the humpback whale the bowhead whale and the minke whales. All Cetacea have forelimbs modified as fins, a tail with horizontal flukes, and nasal openings on top of the head.
Whales range in size from the blue whale, the largest animal known to have ever existed at 35 m (115 ft) and 150 tonnes (150 LT; 170 ST), to various pygmy species, such as the pygmy sperm whale at 3.5 m (11 ft). Whales collectively inhabit all the world's oceans and number in the millions, with population growth rate estimates for various assessed species ranging from 3% to 13%. For centuries, whales have been hunted for meat and as a source of raw materials. By the middle of the 20th century, however, industrial whaling had left many species seriously endangered, leading to the end of whaling in all but a few countries.

Well I'm sure that 3billion was just a drop in the ocean because you follow the advice given to newbies over and over and over again to not fly anything they can't afford to lose. Or does that rule not apply to everyone?

2) "Niche" ? Thank goodness for CCP ! I may want a few things different in EVE or a 2nd version that had no auto skill points and better NPC AI but... If CCP were to try and please the "My Little Pony" masses the No. 1 change would not be less lag, it would be Low or No Death Penalty - Aaahge :(

Eve is hands down the best internet space game mankind has ever built or imagined.
That said, I do wish that for every expansion there was an equal amount of time spent on upgrading the legacy code Eve is built on: Corp management nightmare screen anyone? A few things could use a good fix, otherwise ... solid!
