I recently ran a set of experiments on Sisi that conclusively demonstrate that the sarcastic eye-roll smiley (  ) is pure win.
- Use of sarcastic eye-roll smiley makes your forum rebuttal up to 93% more convincing.
- The sarcastic eye-roll smiley itself contains more than 40k m^3 of irrefutable logic.
- Sarcastic eye-roll smiley has no stacking penalty! In fact each application is more effective than the one before it.
- The sarcastic eye-roll smiley can only be countered by a link to a kill board and a pirate smiley (  ).
Dangers:
- When deploying sarcastic eye-roll smiley be sure not to clutter your argument with too many actual points. Points and logic only detract from the effectiveness of sarcastic eye-roll smiley. Ideally, your rebuttal should consist of no more than a quote block of your enemy and the sarcastic eye-roll smiley itself.
- If you mis-use sarcastic eye-roll smiley then you only have three option: (1) brag about your alt using a pirate smiley, (2) double down and deploy more sarcastic eye-roll smilies, (3) admit your error using a blush smiley (  ).
- Under no circumstances should sarcastic eye-roll smiley be deployed within 2000m of laughing smiley (  )! This combination immediately uncloaks your ****ishness and reveals to everyone that you are an *******.

TBH I don't get the hate for the smiley, it's just a smiley version of the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tag, without which there is always some idiot who thinks the horrendously sarcastic comment you just made was meant to be taken seriously... |

OP has a good post/point, also way overdone are winky-smilies when trying to hint that you know/have/are/can something that you can't/are not etc-etc-etc. I use a winky-tongue smiley as they have as aspect of knowing humour that effaces any snide arrogance that may be insinuated from the wink.
