Malediction
Vengence
You can use a MWD on the Malediction if you prefer. Also there are navy 400 charges, it aint too expensive and I personally receive strong exiles for free, but im sure anyone could down grade to standard if there was a problem.

Interesting fits though, could kill a fair number of ships. Malediction seems a bit vulnerable however.

I meant mediums, small can't really stop that efficiently and it's hard to fit/run dual smalls on a frig hull anyway. Which means it will preety much bbq frig hulls (assuming you don't run into someone with a perma-MWD frig with LR guns and lots and lots of ammo). Sig removed, inappropriate link. Yeah mediums would be an issue, but then again that's a different hull class and would be like comparing Battleships to Battlecruisers.

I've not used pimp implants in years, my connection frequently drops during combat so I can't risk it. Another reason I am unable to solo fight currently, until BT pulls their finger out.

I actually looked at the numbers on EFT, looks like he wont do more than 13 DPS on the ship once he loses his drones with AML Fit.

I do believe your mal would destroy all standard claw and crusader fits unless theyre ab fit which some people do. Btw you could do the same in a gank Autocannon/mal that does 150dps not overheated with a cap booster or web doesnt matter realy.
As for the vengeace, its nothing new. I do believe though v another frig you would be better off with autocannons than blasters. Otherwise most Af's can easy tank your damage or take none, but can also just leave the fight.
Been using boosters on my claw and wolf for about 4 months now and its pretty cool. Dont fly enough active tanked ships or else i would use them more often.

You won't have boosters to run forever (nor overload forever), while I can kite you as long as I need assuming no one comes as long.
But meh, it was intended as a joke, nothing more ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whenever I see a "boost active tanking" thread, I always wonder if Kessah really needs a personal stealth buff.
Really interesting fits as usual. I only wish your fitting threads came with a playlist as well... (I can't help but think of ships blowing up whenever Fantastadon - Anesthesiologist comes up on my iTunes.)

You should look into getting a faction cap booster. I'm building a vengeance rather similar to yours, and I got a True Sansha small cap booster for 2m. Extra fast cycle means better neut protection \o/. ----------------------------------------------

Edited by: W0wbagger on 29/03/2010 17:15:41 For the vengeance: If you like active tanking then lose the damage control for another enam for a better tank. (but obviously less ehp) Also worth considering a c-type nos for more range and cap. I have that fit but use dual light pulses (with ab) as the scorch aspect is nice. Also I know you said you got the strong exiles for free but if you didn't and were still happy to spend the money then 2 faction enams make this even better. But then it can start to get silly :) (t2 rigs arent that much either!)
also surely a coreli c-type ab on the malediction? Will give you 3 extra grid to play with...

Nope. 1722 volley is definitely not enough. Certainly not once an orbit is achieved on your pretty little destroyer.

Blasters on the Vengeance works like a charm until you meet an opponent with more speed, a web or the gall to do visual inspection before engaging The triple nos (token gun for drones), dual-rep vengeance is the tackler from hell by the way. Guaranteed to hold anything and everything for as long as it takes
Originally by: Last Wolf except an arty thrasher will just about istagibb you before you can turn on those pretty reppers.
The Malediction perhaps but not the Vengeance. A Punisher/Slicer can take a volley to the face and live, albeit in hull, so I doubt you will have more luck against the Vengeance.

I've been doing a bit of EFT whoring how would you go about killing this within the same shipclass.
The only frig I've found which would reliably kill the said Vengeance is surprisingly a deadspace shield booster Jaguar which can in fact permatank the Vengeance forever while doing more DPS then its passive cap recharge can take (~120 dps vs rf PP). It's sort of expensive, however and would need either crystals or blue pill on top. I did know a guy who used to fly that however, too much ISK on his hands I guess

Ummm since we seem to be sparing in threads and you're off looking for me. I thought I'd point out that the 2 posted fits about would eat your thrasher alive. So go ahead and PLEASE bring that ship out when you can looking for me. KKTHXBIA.

A single small neut would take, what, like 45 seconds to cap out a dramiel from 100%(which never happens, but meh). Too long for it to really make much of a difference. He'd just try to kite outside the neut range and flail about until he got tired or ran out of ammo.

Slow. Low dps. Low range. Any ab+web frig will hold you till you run out of cap charges or disengage. And cruiser+ will just neut you, web you, send ecm drones your way and kill you. Ofc im talking about competent pvpers, and you wont encounter many of them...

While the Malediction would be decent for the "WTF" factor, any frigate with a small neut would stand a pretty good chance against it.
On a somewhat unrelated note, why does everybody take screen shots or quote overheated EFT numbers all the time? *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |
