As in, it's primarily a droneboat. Guns are an afterthought. Anyways... here's a PvE setup I use to do lvl 4 missions. [Lows] Damage Control Unit II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Armor EM Hardener II Armor Explosive Hardener II Medium Armor Repairer II [Mids] Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Drone Navigation Computer I 10MN Afterburner II [Highs] Small Tractor Beam I Salvager II 220 Vulcan Autocannon II (Phased Plasma) 220 Vulcan Autocannon II (Phased Plasma) 220 Vulcan Autocannon II (Phased Plasma) [Rigs] Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I [Drones] 5x Hobgoblin 5x Ogre II 5X Berserker II Note: It's completely cap stable and has some pretty nice omni-resists. Tactics: Simply go in, grab aggro, release drones, orbit at 20-30km around a solid object, and pull in the salvage. If a certain rat is too tough for your drones alone then burn in and add your guns to your drone DPS. If the rats turn out to hurt too much though, go back the replace the hardeners with rap specific ones. Other thoughts: You asked for medium hybrids... sadly I cannot offer that on this fit. Hybrid weapons need more CPU than what is left and will upset cap stability. ------- With regards to PvP... I myself have been having issues with fitting one for PvP. No matter how much I try I'm never completely satisfied with the fit I make. Regardless, I'll throw a fit I've been using and let you decide: [Lows] Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Overdrive Injector System II Capacitor Power Relay II [Mids] Large Shield Extender II Invulnerability Field II Photon Scattering Field II 10MN Microwarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II [Highs] Light Ion Blaster II (Null) Light Ion Blaster II (Null) Light Ion Blaster II (Null) Drone Link Augmenter I [Rigs] Medium Core Field Extender Medium Core Field Extender [Drones] 5x Hobgoblin 5x Hammerhead II 10X Garde II Notes: This is a skirmisher, not a brawler. So treat is gently. Tactics: Warp in, get point, and orbit between 15-20km (DO NOT GET CLOSER). Once the target attacks you, drop sentries and continue your orbit. If the target gets out of range of your sentries then abandon them and launch new ones. Other Thoughts: You can also go for the chunky armor tanked version, leaving most of your mids open for drone mods. DCUII Rat spec hardener II x2 Dark blood medium repper Coprcessor II Fed navy 10mn burner F-12 tracking comp Sensor booster II 2x omni tracking link I DLA small 'Arup' remote repper 3x 200mm prototype rails med hybrid collision med hybrid locus Match the ammo in your guns to your sentry drones' range and plink away. This requires a 1% cpu implant with perfect skills, and 3# with mine.

Well, actually the final boss of guristas military complex can be just barely killed with this setup and 5 wasp iis. [Before someone else points it out, you have to keep the extra two blasters offlined when scanning and traveling to keep the cloak and launcher online].

Here's why: - Fitting Medium guns take a lot of your fitting, making it pretty hard to fit anything close to an active tank. If you go passive you will still lack grid on armour, so you will end up with a shield buffer tank generally. And how much dps are 3 guns gonna add anyway? I'd feel like wasting a low for mag stabs on 3 guns, when I could also fit tank (be it speed or armour).. - Hybrids Rails pretty much suck, there is no reason to go for medium rails over ACs even with a hybrid bonus. So blasters. Blasters are short range, means you basically need a mwd. Which not only takes a mid slot from your shield buffer, but also lots of grid&cpu. And you'll need tackle. Meaning even less buffer. So you might still be looking at some weird rail + buffer + sentry set up, which really should use omnidirectional drone mods, so where did your shield buffer go now? The best fits imho for an ishtar are uber armour tank up close in the face, which means no fitting room for medium guns, or, shield buffer nano set up, in which you won't hit with rails and should just go for smaller ACs for anti drone/frig power, to help your drones. The dominix can actually pull off a gun fit because: - you can actually make a nice 5 large blaster + armour buffer set up (and it has 6 turret points). If you go for a sniper like fit you have the buffer and don't need the speed and you have more slots to play with. So while I respect your search and you might even find some non-fail fits (shield fit was ok-ish) it will never be an efficient use of an ishtar. Imho. All the above is prolly crap Drone Guide

AFAIK those b-type resists are cheap enough. You can upgrade guns if you go for an AB fit but meh. Everyone knows the sort of shield variants you get. Consider this a starting point. Or get a Gila. ----

Also yay for Caldari fit Gallente boats.
