I lost a cruiser ,please come in,to talk about defence

singingbone	Posted - 2010.04.10 04:42:00 - [1] last night ,I lost my cruiser which was often driven to run level 2 missions. the mission that destroied my ship was hard ,as a level 2 mission,it actually gave 589 LP. after I bursted into the battle area,I was surrounded by about 20 enemies.you can image how fast my armor hit point went down. There was no time to escape. to comfortably run level 2 missions ,how much resistance does a drone cruiser need?my destroied cruiser had 50% resistance on every kind of damage. and, as a drone cruiser, which drone should I launch to solo SamSha`s ships efficiently?

I have to say once you get decent skills it's a L2 pwnmobile. With top skills you can do level 3 missions in it as well. What I do is basically get aggro from all the rats and then kite them/speed tank them. This works really well in a drone boat since your drones have very large range compared to the npcs.

Your resistances were too low for a L2 Sansha's mission ... 50% is nowhere near enough, you want to have at least 75% against the main damage type of the mission, preferably 85+% ... Sanshas do EM and Therm damage, in a mission against them having resistances in KIN and EXPLO is pointless ... but doubling your EM and Therm hardeners do the trick. <~ sig starts here

And what exactly are you going to shoot with those extra meager 60 dps that your drones didn't kill allready? Besides, If he's running L2's the first time around I'd bet he really IS looting and salvaging those L2. Just my 2 isk. The heavier the better) 1 - Heavy Missile Launcher 1 - Drone range mod Med 1 - Afterburner 1 - Drone speed mod 2 - Cap rechargers Lows 1 - Med armor rep 2 - mission specific active hardeners 1 - EANM. Rigs Optional, dependent on your needs. Drones 10 Hammer II 10 Hobgob II I don't care what anyone says, lvl 2s are not worth salvaging under any circumstances whatsoever. Your isk/hour will be served much better by fitting for max gank. Release 5 lights, and they will fly around and alpha the frigate targets at some absurd speed. You use the turrets and the HML on any cruisers/dessies in range. Around the time you are done with the hard targets, the drones should be done with the frigate swarm.
Oramin	Posted - 2010.04.10 23:52:00 - [12] Just make a passive shield tanked Vexor. Try the following: Lows: Shield Power Relays Mids: Large Shield Extenders Highs: Whatever Rigs: 2 x Med. Anti-EM Screen, 1 x Med. Anti-Therm. Screen That will give you an omni-tank which should be sufficient for any L2 mission especially if you also have implants which help passive tanking.

Try the following: Lows: 4 x SPR Mids: 3 x LSE, 1 x Mag. Scat. Amp. Highs: Whatever Rigs: 2 x Purger I, 1 x Anti-Therm. Screen Significantly better tank than the Vexor and also an omnitank in case you are feeling lazy.
