Memory and tradition, that is what the State citizens strive for.
Memory and tradition are binded together, in our hearts and minds.
Memory, when we are building our own future, through hard work and dedication, is not to forget from where we come. Once there was a war, once there were heroes, and innocents dying, and through many losses the good of many prevailed.
Tradition, when our day to day duties become temporarly secondary to a greater deed, is when many becomes one again. Now there is a peace, now there are citizens, and wealth growing, and through many gains the State is built and strengthened.
Memory and tradition are binded together, when a State silently stops by the memorial orbiting the scorched rock that once was Caldari Prime.
The Caldari Prime Ceremonial Mourning Day is held the 2th January 2005, at 21h Evetime, in the Luminaire system.
Be Caldari, be there...

Even though the war was many many years ago - well before my time - i will be there to remember those that died so that we Caldari may continue to live according to our own lows and traditions.

It is to remember the day that we lost it, that even though we are an empire as powerful as the Gallente, Amarrians or Minmatar's, our home is no longer ours. It reminds us to stay strong and never allow something like that again, the past can be used as a source of inspiration and strength, so in one sense Caldari Primse will never be useless. Also, being sentimental isn't a bad thing, all men will grieve if they lose something dear to them. And as for Caldari Prime, it may be no physical use to us now, but it is still our home, where the birth of our empire took place, it is as important as our Independence Day.
