Ok it may not be the proper place to write this. But I believe it is proper as I am starting to lose my temper.
I have cancelled my subscription 3 months ago right after I've lost my very first battleship in my first mission. It took me like 3 months to get enough money and skills to obtain one and got soo demoralized that I decided to give up...
Anyway I have cancelled my account at account page, and provided a satisfactory reason for leaving the game(above) and proceeded with account cancellation. All is fine till now I have even received a feedback survey e-mail in my gmail account from EVE...
3 months later I have received an e-mail notification about EVE subscription fee being cut from my bank account. I wondered the reason and immediately saw that I have received two more of such mails during the last two months(which I skipped as my g-mail is usually spammed and I enter my mail account irregularly)
I have opened a petition and sent an e-mail to the support team. It has been over 4 days now and no one answered. Then I tried cancelling my account again at account page by following the same steps. At first try it said "Account cancellation successful" just like 3 months ago but when I relog I saw that my account is still open. Only after the 3rd try I managed to cancel my account and account cancellation link became "cancel subscription cancellation" or something like that. Though for the last one I have followed the exact same steps for the first try it simply fooled me. In any case I dont know really if subscription fee will be cut from my bank account again in next month. And EVE has never sent me a proper e-mail about account cancellation in any of these tries so there is literally no written evidence I can provide which shows that I have completed account cancellation step successfully. Finally I have also realized that account cancellation is one of the hardest things to do at your account web page though it should be one of the easiest as it is people's money in consideration.
I've sent a second e-mail to the support and also opened a petition. Still no answer on the subject.
In any case I should warn all of you fellow mates that such things may happen with EVE. You may think that you have cancelled your account but it may actually continue cutting your money from your bank accounts without major notice. So dont forget to double, triple, quadruple check that you have actually cancelled your account.

Best,
There were a few things you could have done better.
1. Never post anything serious in crime and punishment. You're asking to be made fun of in that case. 2. When you cancel something, make sure it's really cancelled. This may involve some due diligence on your part. 3. If you have problems with CCP and Billing, you file a billing petition. --Vel

Edited by: At''hilla on 19/04/2010 18:04:48 First, I really dont care if I am made fun of or not as I am no longer playing nor you do know me. Second I've already opened a billing petition and sent several e-mail's to EvE noone responded. Third yes I am angry and it is one reason I am posting it here. Forth you may take it as a bare warning which tells the truth about EvE and It was nothing personal at least till now as I am now angry. And yes I liked the game during my play time. Fifth if EvE does not take it seriously and fix their error I'll continue to spam such e-mails in the forums and if they do restrict my access to forums due to this then I'll do whatever I can to warn players about this situation in my local community and I know of many. And finally if they cut a subscription fee once more I'll sue them.

It obviously isn't.
Originally by: At'hilla But I believe it is proper as I am starting to lose my temper.
What you believe has no impact on reality.

3 points. 1, how on earth do you lose a BS in your first lvl 4? Especially considering point 2: You spent 3 months doing SOMETHING to make that money for said BS. Shouldn't lvl 3's had taught you enough about ship fittings so you wouldn't lose your shiny BS so easily? And finally, it sounds like you didn't insure your ship. Your ship should be insured before undocking, regardless of it's role.
Originally by: At'hilla I have opened a petition and sent an e-mail to the support team.
Good, because that is the correct course of action here. Making a lengthy forum post that showcases your ignorance in what is basically the 4chan of eveonline.com however, is not.

Considering that I have never heard of this happening to anyone else, I begin to think that you simply clicked on the wrong button. You clicked 'Cancel' instead of 'Confirm' or something like that. I seriously doubt CCP is so hard up for money that they are going to scam YOU and just YOU out of 45$ USD.

Suggest you contact your bank about it. The direct debit guarantee states that you must have funds returned within 48hrs. CCP will want to honour this or risk losing thier ability to use DD.

Well if the first lvl4 you play is one of the hardest of all(and I have learnt this from the internet later) and if you lose all of your drones, if you are webified to almost zero speed. Even if you destroy half a dozen of battleships and battlecruiser you are still sorrounded by at least 10-15 fast moving frigates/destroyers at 5km range. And you have large guns to miss em all and no chance to narrow the angle. And finally it is the first time you are seeing an npc ship capable of preventing you from warping as there exists none in lvl3 missions. And there is no information in the game which explains what to expect and you are forced learn those stuff from the internet... And it took around 20 minutes(not exagerating) for those 10-15 ships to kill your ship having at least %80-85 resistance at each branch with rigged top tech armor repair units... And all you could do is to look at your baby and cry "noooooo!...." just like in famous hollywood films. And none of your guild mates are in the vicinity to help you. And if you lose over a billion ISK due to this stupitidy. and if insurance money is nothing compared to what you have lost... It is quite easy to get demoralized and leave the game. I dont know whether this answered your question but it is also very likely to lose a battleship at the first mission unless someone have told you to wait 5 months more(pay 5 months more) to maximize your drone skills(so they dont get killed) before going to a lvl4. And right at that moment you realize that it is a money trap really... no more fun for me...
And if I haven't realized this it could have easily been 450$ instead of 45$ as $15 per month may not pick your attention especially if you are already paying around 500$s of credit card debt each month.
So scamming that money may not be a bad idea and I do know what will be their response... Basically the same response you gave "You might have pressed a wrong button!"... Then as a computer engineer I would ask why do you have such a crappy interface which may fool people to press wrong buttons? Why do you make it so hard for people to locate and press cancel subscription button? Or how do you know I have pressed a wrong button... I am likely to press the correct button... As there are only two buttons at the site you enter the reasoning of your departure... Why didn't I receive an e-mail confirmation about account cancellation?(though I have received an EvE feedback survey at the time I left)... Curious is it not? I mean it is really easy to say your customers "it is your fault" as you do not provide them anything which may become a proof.
Ok perhaps I am angry with it... Why do they have such a support which do not respond to mails or petitions for over 4 days? Thinking that you once paid for this game? Why do you pay then? If they had responded accordingly I wouldnt be angry with them anyway...
Finally it is not just me there a couple of people I know of whom I had talked to and had similar experiences with EvE... I don't know about the rest but there may be thousands as well...

Probably has something to do with the fact that you've already made multiple petitions about it and have now posted in the wrong section of the forums, in addition to posting content that makes you appear to be a 13-year-old WoW player who can't find his arse with two hands.
Congratulations for being an idiot.

Not me, but congratulations to you in fact as an idiot for sparing so much time of your life on a game like this which has no more value than your arse and yes as a game it should be easily located via single finger not two hands either(just like your arse). And seeking intelligence with this much enthusiasm in a computer game which charges your money would be the peak of idiocracy indeed and would only show that you are no more than a 30 year old child. In such cases I would definitely prefer to be a 13 year old. Choose your words carefully as you see I am only 13 years old. And so far I have offended nothing more than your unquestionable belief in the religion of EvE. If I am to receive such responses... then damn I am right!....

Am I? Or can it be you who had became nothing more than being the bad ass of EvE calling people idiots to cover your own idiocity or secret whining? Seriously how much time of your miserable life you put into this game? Is it so serious to be considered above being entertaining? Are you in such urge to prove yourself worthy by calling me idiot? Or are you just seeking a quick way out of your inferiority complex which you'll never find?
Anyway indeed so much time and bandwidth wasted on your account. I'll say no more...

While you've confirmed the idea that i had from the beginning that you are a dirty grubby troll why did you even purchase game time to begin with if you bad mouth the game so much? I hope that CCP continues to "scam" you of your money because your clearly too stupid to stop it if they've gotten this far

A minute ago eve support has answered and refunded my money. Thank you CCP and I apologize for all the claims I had made against you out of my anger and suspicion :D... As your answer seany1212, I had fun playing eve but have never taken it seriously(more than being a game)... I've learnt my lesson that unless you take it seriously the fun part ends one way or another. I have no luxury of spending much time on a game so I have started to understand that eve is not for me and it is then(and also mostly out of my anger) I'have started bad mouthing the game this much. You can never know where the experience leads you to before purchasing the game is it not? It was an unfortunate failure for me so I left. And thats all... But you are really degrading yourself with such words...

I have trained logic to 10000 :D:D:D... of course not... I have only said I have trained 3 months for battleship... I had been playing the game for over 8-9 months I suppose... Besides clever trading and salvaging usually gets you big money in short times but you must put effort into it... And for someone who could enter twice or three times a week it was all I could make in that time...

This is just stunning. Why did you put so much money into a mission running battleship. Especially your first one. And if you could make that much ISK in 3 months without referring to 'internet information on running missions' then you could easily make the money back.
I'd be very interested in seeing this fit you lost.
It was obviously down to your own incompetence. If you are going to quit after losing a single ship then this game really isn't for you. ~
