Originally by: Ion Kirst I filed a petition, because during the 30 sec or so that I was being attacked Concord did not show up.

Originally by: Nika Dekaia Even if the salvager had stolen something from the OP and he then had agressed the ninja, the ninjas corp would not be allowed to shoot the OP. So it was a simple suicide gank.

Originally by: Ion Kirst Just think of my satisfaction, had discovered I was a victim of an exploit. If I had come right out and spilled my guts, ramping and raging about an exploit, do you they there would have been any admission?
…or you could just have asked if there was anything strange going on without implying that you were a victim of an exploit and bothering the GMs for absolutely no good reason. People would have said no, nothing special is going on here. That would have been the end of it. Instead, you want to be lauded for not immediately pulling the tinfoil hat down over your ears…

Sounds a bit like mission-running, except with the possibility of unforeseen events and excitement. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Originally by: Ion Kirst Your right, I should have asked: "Hi, is anybody suicide ganking in the area, dodging Concord by quickly returning to their stations and switching ships?"
No. You should have asked: "Hi, I got ganked [and here's the killmail], but didn't see any concord for x seconds, and I also saw the same people in the set of ships a little later. Is this normal?" To which the answer would have been "yes".
Then you wouldn't have had to bother the GM:s, and you wouldn't have had to dream up various scenarios involving exploits. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Originally by: malfoy most people know this could have and is most likley to be what happened but when i quoted what tippa said i did it for a reason. the gm's are busy and they'd rather not be looking into stuff like this but not too long ago there was shall we call them characters activley exploiting bugs that have since been reported as squished. the gm's need to know so they can report if them bugs have "accidentally" crept back in
The problem is that nothing in his story even hints at there being an exploit. He outright states that he didn't stay around for that long after he went *pop* – quite possibly quickly enough not to see the outcome; he outright states that he observed the same guy(s) in the same (type of) ship(s) 20 minutes later – far too late say anything about whether CONCORD got involved or not, since the the timers involved ran out ages ago. He has nothing that would even come close to implying that there's something fishy going on. He had no reason to go to the GM:s to begin with, and no reason to come out guns blazing with the "omgzpossibleh4x" attitude.
Hence my response: had he asked, he would have been told that no, there's nothing about his scenario that points to any kind of exploit or CONCORD avoidance taking place.
While there is certainly a possibility that some old bug might have crept back in, that's completely irrelevant to this situation – the only thing that would suggest that this might be the case is the OP:s "I got pwnd, must be 'sploit!!1" attitude, and that is a complete waste of GM time and resources. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
