If you go by isk raised, a trade would be better without ever firing a shot. This was just someone's proposal for an embargo, and we are pointing out why it would work.
How does ganking a miner make us better than said miner? Well, for one, we're not stupid enough to go mining buckass nekkid in a untanked ship designed for group Nullsec mining. Just a thought.
CCP has even flat out repeatedly spelled this out for everyone recently -- the Hulk is not meant for solo AFK (BOT) mining operations. It's time to stop acting like it is.
But yeah, this is a fine idea, I do like the meta-game Market PVP concept, but unfortunately we all have market NPC alts. This wouldn't work. You literally don't know if the person you're selling to is a CFC member or not.
I wouldn't mind seeing some form of synergy between High and Null -- Making it so there are things that only Nullsec can provide, and things that only Highsec can provide. The problem is, any such situation by definition requires Highsec lose access to those materials and become reliant on Nullsec -- and the second you even suggest that, the AFK Bot Miners and the like, those who don't actually like the game enough to play it, have absolute fits.
For the more forward, long term thinkers, the idea that, say, Ice could only be mined in Nullsec, is absolutely delightful. It would give small scale PVP a reason to exist again, it would kill the very idea of "bot mining" for Ice, and it would give people a reason to be in Nullsec and a potential "growth" path for people in Highsec, which in turn would stir things up quite effectively.
Similarly, the idea that Highsec might have things that only Highsec could provide is... the reality today. Datacores, for example. |
