1. Incarna, with all of its features
2. Atmospheric flight (including atmospheric combat of course), something similar like it can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wi9-xl3C54
3. Dust 514

Honestly I think Incarna will draw the most new players. People want to walk around. What would be best for the game right now? Fix lags and database server issues.
What do I want? Working sound, better/smarter/intuitive UI, Incarna, Dust 514, Atmospheruic flight with joystick controls for only small ships like frigates and maybe play as a fighter pilot. :-)
In that order.

I would really like to see blood spattering battle with exploding heads and stumps of hacked off limbs spurting into space with the occassional eyeballs flying off into the distance. And this just while your ship is docked...

How about a game that doesn't lag out when more than 15 people are in a battle.

1. Incarna easily will bring the most people, it gives us an avatar something many people feel is why eve has a disconnect with some people that cant see a ship as "me"
2. Got to agree atmospheric flight would be nice and would draw in those twitch gamers, but we wont get it though would be nice if Dust 514 got aircraft as well as vehicles.
3. Dust514 got to agree here too thats a easy third.
4. Sound god dude are you reading my f*cking mind, the eve sounds are truely depressing.
5. Effects upgrades, while not important to many current EVEers the fact is that eye candy is what draws people in, and thats what eve needs, like incarna something to draw people in and oooh and aaah over while the underlying awesome game takes hold.
6. More advanced flight to make it skill based not just SP and Fit based....
Let me specify #6 there, i dont mean twitch fighting in eve, i mean proper capital control like. and funny enough i found what i mean just this morning in a game from 2006 LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJuurm7Olv0&fmt=35 for kind of capital flight controls i'd like to see eve evolve into.

Depends on what types of players you want to attract, for how long you intend to keep them as subcribers, at what interval you want to try to lure them back in, and whether you as a company want to take everything on a la Steve Balmer with his "developers developers developers" school of thought or whether you want to achieve a stable and consistent approach to continuity of the ecosystem.

5. removal of CCP approved metagaming, i.e. alts
That would level the playing field by a factor of huge and set the bar low enough for all, including new players. - Arkanon: EXPLAIN YOURSELF, EVILDOER! Sharkbait: Dude. - Bashing trolls since 2047. Which way does time go again? <_> |

While I agree completely, I doubt that the folks who are prospective customers are as aware of this issue.
Incarna would probably fish in the most folks...many of whom will leave when they get a taste of the larger game outside the inner game of Incarna, but some of those folks will find the complexity to their tastes and hang on.
This game is way too complex for the shooter crowd though, so while DUST may be a good shooter, I doubt it's going to fish in folks to play EvE Online.

Delayed local everywhere + revamped d-scanner would be a real fresh change in combat game mechanics. I'm sure it would make a lot of vets login/resubscribe. ...

Well Incarna is the most obvious one but to keep players I think the current UI needs to be thrown away and replaced with just about anything. They will have to do this for Incarna anyway or it will be a disaster.

My top two.
1. Game play that actually resembled the "epic fleet battles between thousands of players" CCP keeps advertising and showing-off in their trailers.
2. Better GM petition response time and improved overall customer service.

Being able to withdrawn ISK as cash at a 1:1 ratio.
Come on, you have to admit that that would be a brilliant way of getting loads of people to start playing!

I could think of a couple things.
1. Allow users to paint their ships. 2. Allow users to earn Achievements such as kill a frigate in 1 shot. 3. Allow users to fire while cloaked, creating an entirely new item that is necessary if one wants to shoot a cloaked player. 4. Remove skills and most items. Lasers and Hybrids for example are like, the same thing. In fact remove all turrets, they're just another way to shoot at stuff, and velocity maths is hard. 5. Allow movement with the ASWD keys. 6. Make ships "classes". For example one could only fly Battleships if one were playing a BATTLESHIP PILOT! 7. Remove targetting, instead add a crosshair and force aiming. 8. Add Orcs. 9. Make loot have colors to distinguish between powerful and weak items. 10. Make users retain their items, ships and implants when they die. In fact, make death cost absolutely nothing.

If dust doesnt fail it will bring alot of players to eve. first of all eve is on the unknown side of games. when dust comes out players there will want to see their impact from the eve perspective. some, not all will enjoy eve and stay others will not enjoy it and leave. my guess ( assuming dust is a great success) 3million copies of dust 514 are sold. 1 million of those people try EvE online because they want to see what its about. 300,000 of those people quit the first or 2nd day- to complicated for them to learn 200,000 more quit when trial runs out another 200,000 quit after the first month, weather to payment issues, not being self sufficient or losing a ship 200,000 people join eve and play for more than 2 months. of that about 20,000 become great successes in the game

The females and roleplayers can spend most of their time in Incarna so CCP can use their subs to upgrade the servers for fleet fights.
