Just did the lvl 4 Damsel in Distress mission. It was a good one, I like these new missions, they give you something to sink your teeth into - but my one unit of The Damsel was nowhere to be found! Searched all cans of course, to no avail.
Has this happened to anyone else?

well all I can say is I hope I have ebough missiles... just shot 120 cruise at it and it's still at 20% shields lol

Yeah, it armour tanks and shield tank and structure tanks etc

I've done this (and simular structure destroying) mission 3 times now. Simply let loose a bunch of drones and use your weapons too...seems to work for me.

I wasted a good 700 cruise missiles on that outpost along with 25 or so very boring minutes. Thank god for the internet and nekkid ladies.
Anyways, whomever desiged the lvl 4 missions must be getting a good laugh.

I belive the structure has 750k of shields/armor/structure combined, impossible mission to do solo in under 45 mins if you want the bonus.

I found you didn't have to blow up the actual starbase, just the bunker underneath it.
The starbase is really, really tough, but the bunker pops pretty fast.
