I have been told by a corp member (that Legion 4th down on the damage list) that it still took forever to break the passive shield tank. The low slots were probably empty so that the thing might actually die in a reasonable amount of time without capitals shooting at it.

If I may make a suggestion though, if you want them to progress from memorable to EPIC use the vessels you have to their fullest potential. Nobody wants an easy victory, and frankly most people would prefer to lose completely rather than have a victory "given" to them. Limiting the number of ships involved and having distinct objectives (not necessarily destroy all opposition) is great, just use the forces you do chose to deploy in these events effectively (but without any DEV created advantages). Make them a tool to teach how dangerous these NPC's can be if taken off their leashes. It will bring CCP much respect, and any tears that flow will be lost in the enthusiasm voiced for the next encounter. ===== If you go to Za'Ha'Dum I will gank you.
